Summary
For over twenty years, we were just childhood friends—until I started seeing him as a man.
From kindergarten to middle school and even university, Go Eun-sae and Yoon Tae-seung had always been together. Having each other nearby was as natural as breathing. They both believed their friendship would last forever.
That is, until Tae-seung signed a contract with the UFC and left for the United States.
“Don’t get into trouble. And don’t drink too much. There’s no one to take you home anymore.”
“What do you mean, no one? I could get a boyfriend too.”
“Boyfriends can wait. For now, just take care of yourself.”
At first, Eun-sae thought the ache in her chest was just the sadness of parting from a lifelong friend.
But the more time passed, the more she realized it was something else—something hotter, deeper, and impossible to ignore.
While Tae-seung was away, her feelings only grew stronger. And when he finally returned to Korea, she couldn’t hold them in any longer.
“I… think I like you.”
“Of course I like you too.”
“No. I mean I like you as a man. I want you to be my boyfriend.”
“I’ll give you everything you want… except that.”
Tae-seung’s rejection left her no choice but to walk away. But even after her confession, an unfamiliar tension lingered between them—until they finally crossed the line they swore they wouldn’t.
“How far are you willing to go?”
“……”
“Then… would you kiss me too?”
Still, Tae-seung kept insisting they were “just friends,” even as he gave her everything.
Exhausted and heartbroken, Eun-sae finally decided to let him go.
“From the moment I confessed, I stopped being your friend.”
“……”
“Do you hold hands, kiss, and sleep with your friends? Is that what friendship means to you?”
But instead of ending things cleanly, Tae-seung began to show a possessiveness she had never seen before.
“I can never let you go, Go Eun-sae.”
