Becoming the Terminally-Ill Villain Who Torments His Disciples - Chapter 112.1
“You’re feeling anxious?”
“Yes. Not since that huge incident a while ago… This hasn’t happened before…”
Oscar trailed off and hugged Cielo even tighter.
He didn’t know where the anxiety was coming from, but he said he had experienced overwhelming fear while riding.
He had a feeling that he shouldn’t return to the Imperial Palace. A feeling that he had to stay by Cielo’s side. That’s why he rushed over.
“But I’m perfectly fine. Nothing happened… No, well—there was one thing, I suppose.”
“What happened? Is it related to your stomach pain? What about your medicine? Wait—why are you alone when you’re sick? Where did Lord Ryan go?”
As Oscar anxiously fired off his questions, Cielo gently kissed him on both cheeks, as if to calm him down.
“What the—why are you here?”
Just then, Ryan, who had just scolded a knight who tried to pat his head, walked over while fixing his tousled hair.
“…?”
Oscar’s face twisted as he looked between the now-child Ryan and Cielo.
Cielo didn’t look well, Oscar had been overwhelmed with dread… and now there was a kid in front of him who looked too much like Ryan.
“…No way.”
A sudden flash of murderous intent flickered in Oscar’s eyes. He tried hard to suppress his anger and spoke:
“This child—is he someone Lord Doberman had with another person?”
“W-what did you say?”
“That bastard… Did he do something like this just because the Grand Duke told him to bring back a child? And I didn’t even know?”
Cielo blinked in disbelief at Oscar, who had jumped to wild conclusions all on his own. Ryan just sighed deeply and looked at Oscar with an exasperated expression.
“What are you even misunderstanding right now? You think I’d leave Cielo and sleep with someone else?”
Ryan’s displeasure was crystal clear in his voice, and Oscar’s face contorted even more.
Now that he really looked at the child, he didn’t feel like it was someone else’s son. The child just was Ryan.
“Then what is this kid?”
“As you can see—it’s Ryan. He was developing a new medicine and… there was a side effect. He’ll probably return to normal soon.”
“…So you’re telling me, if I throw him out now, I can live happily forever with Master, just the two of us?”
At Oscar’s muttered words, Ryan started wildly throwing punches at him.
It was as if he wanted just one to land, but Oscar dodged every one and only responded with a smug grin.
“Now that you mention it, it’s about time for kids to be in bed. If you stay up late, you won’t grow, Ryan.”
At Cielo’s words, Ryan let out a hollow laugh. He’d been treated like a child since morning, and even now, with night fallen, Cielo still hadn’t stopped.
“That’s true. Should we put little Lord Doberman to bed and go for a walk, just the two of us?”
At Oscar’s comment, Ryan finally bit down on his arm.
That night.
After confirming that Cielo and Oscar had fallen asleep, Ryan quietly left the room and headed straight for his lab.
At some point, his child-sized body had already returned to normal.
“Would’ve been nice if it had lasted just a bit longer…”
It had been an accident that turned him into a child, but all day long, Cielo hadn’t stopped smiling.
Of course, being treated like a kid wasn’t exactly pleasant. But if his omega was happy… Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad to stay like that a little longer.
“Still… he’d probably like a real child even more.”
So he had to try harder.
Just as he stepped out of the annex, Ryan suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and stopped walking.
“…What was that?”
He had just seen them sound asleep before he left the room.
But suddenly, an overwhelming sense of dread came rushing in.
With every step, it was as if his mind was screaming: “Go back to Cielo. Right now!”
“No way.”
Had something happened?
Gripped by anxiety, Ryan dashed back to the annex. And when he opened the door—
…nothing had happened.
Oscar and Cielo were still asleep, curled up in each other’s arms.
Cielo’s breathing was completely steady.
But the strangest part was… that all of the crushing dread from earlier had completely vanished.
“Was it my imagination…?”
Ryan tilted his head and quietly left the room again.
But once he reached the edge of the annex grounds, the anxiety started to build up once more, making it impossible to step away.
“I guess tonight’s not the night.”
Was his pheromone balance still off from the age regression?
His body might have been smaller, but his instincts as an alpha hadn’t vanished.
Maybe he was just feeling uneasy about leaving his mate, his one and only omega, alone.
