The soft palms felt pleasant to touch, and the fluffy fur was soft and smooth, making it enjoyable to pet.

However…

‘Not knowing what they’re saying is a bit inconvenient.’

Seeing Cielo’s expression dim slightly, Ryan gave his face a long lick with his tongue.

In that instant, his stomach turned abruptly and his vision distorted.

Then—

“Grrrr…”

“Cielo?”

“Master?”

Suddenly, his view dropped significantly. And strangely, he could clearly hear Ryan and Oscar’s voices, which had been incomprehensible just moments before.

“Ryan? And even Oscar…”

“You…”

Ryan blinked his big eyes and gave Cielo’s cheek a long lick.

As his tongue swiped across his face, he could feel the fur on his cheek getting damp—

‘…Wait a minute, fur?’

Cielo slowly lowered his gaze to look at his own hands.

Soft, pink, jelly-like paw pads. And the light blue fur densely covering them revealed that he was no longer human.

“Wh-what, how…!”

Why?!

Cielo frantically felt his face. He could feel the fluffy fur, and his body felt noticeably lighter than usual.

“So cute…”

As Cielo was confirming his condition in a daze, Oscar let out a voice full of admiration. And it wasn’t just Oscar—Ryan kept nuzzling his face into Cielo’s.

Looking around, Cielo spotted a mirror not far away and tried to run toward it.

Just as he was about to jump down from the bed, Ryan opened his mouth and gently bit the back of Cielo’s neck to stop him.

“You’ll hurt yourself if you jump.”

“That’s right. In that body, you’ll bump into things trying to get down.”

Ryan lightly jumped off the bed and set Cielo down in front of the mirror.

When Cielo looked into the mirror, he involuntarily opened his mouth in shock.

Ears far too large for his body size.

His frame was much smaller than the other two, and his whole body was covered in sky-blue fur. A pointed face, large round eyes, short legs, and soft paw pads—

“A fennec fox…?”

No matter how he looked at it, he resembled the fennec foxes he had only ever seen in media in his past life.

While Cielo stared blankly into the mirror for some time, Oscar gently bit the scruff of his neck. Then, he climbed back up on the bed and placed Cielo onto the blanket.

“Sitting on the floor could hurt your health.”

“…But thanks to the fur, the floor didn’t feel cold at all.”

“Still.”

Oscar said this as he grabbed the blanket with his mouth and pulled it toward them.

But when Ryan climbed onto the bed and made it impossible to pull the blanket further, Oscar raised a paw and smacked him in the face.

“…?!”

As Cielo stared in shock, eyes wide, Oscar casually looked between his paw and Ryan.

“Ah, my bad. Becoming an animal makes me act on instinct, I guess.”

At Oscar’s shameless excuse, Ryan growled low in his throat.

The two looked ready to pounce and fight at any moment, and Cielo wriggled under the blanket in worry.

“P-please don’t fight…”

But just then, Ryan slapped Cielo’s face exactly the same way and pushed him off the bed.

“Oscar!”

Cielo jumped up in alarm, and the two—no, two animals—started wrestling under the bed.

They bared their teeth and looked ready to tear each other’s scruffs apart, prompting Cielo to spring into action.

And just as he leapt between them—

Both of them simultaneously stopped moving to catch Cielo mid-jump.

Plop!

As Cielo softly landed on the fluffy fur, he blinked. Then, the two of them began frantically licking Cielo’s fur.

Oscar even playfully bit him slightly as if just watching Cielo move was too cute to handle, causing Ryan to growl once more.

“…If you fight, I’ll kick both of you out.”

Was it because he had become a beast that his patience had worn thin?

Cielo narrowed his eyes at the bubbling frustration in his chest, and the two animals obediently lowered themselves to the floor.

‘Sigh.’

He didn’t know what had caused all this…

But one thing remained unchanged—those two were still unbearably cute and lovable.
