Becoming the Terminally-Ill Villain Who Torments His Disciples - Chapter 66.1
That night.
Lying in bed, Cielo kept tossing and turning.
Perhaps it was because he had grown accustomed to sleeping in the arms of Oscar or Ryan. Or maybe it was simply because he was in the Esteban estate.
His body was thoroughly exhausted, and yet sleep wouldn’t come.
It sounds like there’s some commotion outside…
Just as Cielo wrinkled his brow and adjusted his blanket, a loud shout rang out from outside.
“Let go of me!”
Startled by the voice, Cielo jolted upright.
It was unmistakably Oscar’s voice.
He rushed to the door and flung it open, shouting,
“Oscar? What’s going on?”
What met his eyes was a male servant standing not far off, clutching Oscar’s arm as if pleading.
His flushed face suggested he might be in a heat cycle, and he was practically pressing himself against Oscar.
The sight made Cielo’s blood run cold.
Without a word, he clenched his fists and strode toward Oscar.
“M-Master, this is…!”
Oscar opened his mouth, as if to explain, but before he could, Cielo pried the Omega’s hand from Oscar’s arm.
The Omega staggered from the force and gasped for breath.
“P-please, just let me… please…”
The thick scent of the Omega’s pheromones—for the first time in his life—irked Cielo.
Grinding his teeth, he seized the Omega and dragged him to his own room. Then, he pushed him inside and slammed the door shut.
From inside, the Omega struggled to get out, shouting that it was too much, but with Cielo standing guard, the door remained firmly closed.
“…Master.”
“Come here, Oscar.”
As Oscar approached hesitantly, Cielo reached out and gently wiped off the pheromones that clung to him.
Then, like a beast marking its territory, he lightly released his own pheromones and slowly layered them over Oscar’s body—almost as if to say, this person belongs to me.
Oscar’s eyes went wide in surprise at the gesture.
But as Cielo’s scent began to spread, Oscar relaxed and wrapped his arms tightly around him.
“Ah… I can breathe again…”
“….”
“I’m sorry, Master. Just… let me stay like this for a moment…”
Cielo stayed quietly in Oscar’s embrace, though a furrow formed between his brows.
Was this part of what Typhon had meant by “prove it”?
If so, it was strange.
Cielo was an Omega—so in order to provoke a reaction, an Alpha’s pheromones would be required. Especially one in the middle of a rut, for maximum effect.
So why had a heat-cycled Omega been sent to Oscar, not to him?
“Master, please don’t breathe so heavily. You’re letting out Alpha scent too.”
“Alpha scent?”
“Yes. I was in my room, but I caught the scent of an Alpha in rut… so I came out to check.”
At his words, Cielo let out a quiet “Ah.”
So Typhon had sent a traited individual not just to Oscar, but to Cielo as well.
Whichever one of them reacted first to the other’s pheromones would be enough to make a scene worth mocking.
“…Thankfully, I don’t smell any other Alpha’s scent. I can only smell yours.”
Cielo gently stroked Oscar’s back with his hand.
Oscar let out a deep breath and hugged him tighter.
“I want to smell only your scent too, Master.”
“…What?”
“Lord Doberman said the same. That he could only perceive your pheromones. But I don’t understand why I can smell everyone’s.”
Oscar pouted a little as he spoke.
“Who knows. Maybe it’s something unusual. We should ask Ryan when we go back.”
“…Let’s do that. And I’ll ask him to make it the same for me, too.”
“The same?”
“Yes. So I can smell only your pheromones.”
At Oscar’s words, Cielo paused in thought.
If Oscar could only ever smell his pheromones, it could become a problem in the future…
‘…No. Maybe it doesn’t matter.’
What had just happened confirmed it.
‘I…’
He cared for Oscar.
If that weren’t the case, he wouldn’t have disliked having another Omega’s pheromones on Oscar’s body.
“Yes, I’d like that too. If you can only smell mine, then when your rut cycle hits… I’ll be the only one who can help you.”
“…What?”
Oscar’s eyes widened at Cielo’s words.
He released his hold and looked at Cielo’s face closely.
“D-Do you mean… can I take that to mean… what I think it means?”
