Becoming the Terminally-Ill Villain Who Torments His Disciples - Chapter 84.1
Ryan, holding Cielo by the wrist, led him out of the estate without hesitation.
“W-Wait a moment, Ryan! Where are we going?”
“…Somewhere Father won’t come looking.”
Apparently no longer wishing to speak with Damon, Ryan pulled Cielo along with him. But since there was nowhere on the Doberman estate that Damon couldn’t reach, Ryan paused in the garden and scanned the area.
“Then how about over there?”
Cielo slipped his wrist free from Ryan’s grip. Interlocking their fingers instead, he used his other hand to point to the mountain behind the estate.
“…Shall we?”
Ryan gave a soft reply and tightened his hold slightly.
Just as the two were about to leave the garden, Oscar came running out from the mansion and naturally joined them from behind.
“How did you even know to come here?”
Ryan let out a dry chuckle. Oscar shrugged and replied,
“There’s no way I wouldn’t know where my Master is.”
“…Stalker.”
“That’s rich coming from you, Lord Doberman.”
Watching the two squabble, Cielo quietly let out a sigh of relief. Ever since running into Damon, Ryan had seemed on edge, but thankfully it looked like he’d calmed down.
The mountain behind the Doberman estate wasn’t particularly tall. Even Cielo, who wasn’t in great physical condition, could manage the climb. Halfway up, there was a wide field.
“Wow…”
There, a field of blue flowers was in full bloom—flowers said to only blossom in winter.
Just as Cielo reached to wipe away his sweat and take off his coat, Oscar draped another robe over his shoulders.
“…I’m warm enough, Oscar.”
“You’ll catch a cold once your sweat cools. What would you do then?”
“Do you think I’m that weak?”
“You are.”
Faced with Oscar’s firm answer, Cielo pressed his lips together.
He couldn’t bring himself to throw off the robe that had been gently placed over him, so instead, he quietly adjusted it with a small pout. Seeing that, Oscar smiled in satisfaction.
“Says the one who’s always getting sick.”
With a mocking grin, Ryan took the opportunity to tease Oscar.
While the two bickered once again, Cielo stepped away and approached the area where the flowers bloomed.
Though spring was approaching, the weather was still cold, and the winter flowers had not yet withered.
After gazing at them for a while, Cielo picked two blossoms and returned to the others.
“Your hands, please.”
At Cielo’s words, the two, who had been arguing, fell silent and held out their hands.
Cielo took the flowers he had picked and wove them into simple rings, sliding one onto the fourth finger of each of their left hands.
“When all of this is truly over, I’ll give you proper rings then.”
“…?”
“So… will you marry me?”
At his words, both Ryan and Oscar stared at him with wide eyes.
Each of them had entrusted their left hands to him—and it didn’t take long for their faces to flush bright red.
“W-What is this all of a sudden…”
“M-Marriage?”
“I know it’s a bit sudden. But… if I don’t express my feelings like this, I might never get the chance.”
He had never experienced proper romance, nor had he ever truly been loved.
Romance could end in breakups and he didn’t want to begin something that unstable. If that were the case, then he’d rather claim them completely as his.
“I want to be greedy. Even if others around us say it’s not allowed, even if they place conditions on us—I want to stay with you both.”
“…”
“I know I’m lacking in many ways. But even so… won’t you stay by my side?”
As Cielo gazed up at them with his small, earnest face, a wave of happiness surged from deep within his chest.
The emotion rising within him didn’t feel like something that had bloomed from his own heart, it felt as if he could feel someone else’s emotions completely.
Soon, both Ryan and Oscar’s expressions softened, as if they had been handed the whole world. Seeing that, Cielo couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
“Who answers before the question’s even finished?”
Just as Cielo had felt their emotions, it seemed they had felt his too. All three of them laughed together, their hearts overflowing.
