“Pardon?”
“Do you really not like me?”
“Pardon?”
Startled, Ha-on turned his body. As expected, he was too close.
After dawdling while looking at his face, Ha-on barely opened his mouth.
“You keep asking similar questions. I do not like you, Senior.”
Still, asking that question was understandable in its own right. To be honest, this was my fault for making him misunderstand.
“Of course… what was caught in the video was merely drunken antics.”
Placing a hand over his chest, he swore that there was not a single grain of falsehood.
He didn’t avoid Cha Jeongwon’s eyes either. Thinking that by doing so, his sincerity would be conveyed better.
And yet… This man’s red lips kept catching Ha-on’s nerves.
What could be the reason they were so enchantingly red when he had just woken up? As those pretty lips parted, neat teeth were revealed.

“Then there’s only one thing left.”
He babbled incomprehensible words.
“You, what were you promised to receive?”
“…Excuse me?”
Because it was so unexpected, Ha-on looked up at him with a bewildered face.
“It was like that yesterday too.”
Glancing at his own arm as if verifying, Cha Jeongwon raised his head. It was as if he were saying that this arm was the very arm Ha-on was clinging to yesterday.
“You said you liked me, and you said there was something you wanted to have.”
His placid voice was like a tranquil lake that no one disturbed, but to Ha-on listening, his spine trembled strangely.
“That was just under the influence of alcohol…”
“Because what did my mother say she would give you?”
Cha Jeongwon casually cut into Ha-on’s words.
“That you would cling to me to that extent.”
“…What do you mean by that?”
Why is your mother brought up here?
Blood completely drained from Ha-on’s face before flushing right back up. His voice went up a notch in tone.
Why on earth was Cha Jeongwon’s mother being mentioned here?
“Are you saying that I received some kind of bribe or instigation?”
“If not that, there’s no reason for you to hit on me.”
Cha Jeongwon said calmly.
It wasn’t even a definitive statement. Though it was a remark tossed as a conjecture, it contained a sting.
Ha-on’s mouth fell open.
“Wow.”
A sound of sheer absurdity came out first.
“Senior, seriously…”
Taking a deep breath, he covered his mouth and nose with his hand again. Whether due to the pheromones or this absurd situation, his head grew even hotter.
“What do you take me for?”
“A kid who clings.”
Cha Jeongwon shot back.
“Who was the person that grabbed onto my arm and said they wouldn’t let go?”
“That was because I…”
Ha-on stammered.
“When I drink alcohol, my, uh, drunken habit is a bit…”
“You can speak comfortably.”
His tone was somehow even more leisurely.
“If I had rather received a bribe, I would have at least gotten money, so it’d be less unfair. It’s unfair because I haven’t received anything.”
Ha-on glared sharply at him. Bringing up his mother a second time meant he hadn’t believed it since the moment he denied it at first. So he was even more pissed off.
“Rather, on my end!”
Ha-on swallowed the saliva that had pooled before he knew it. Since that guy keeps bringing up his mother, I might as well do the same.
“Because of you, Senior, I had an accident, because of you I was trapped in an elevator, and because of you I had a blackout.”
He shot back in the same manner as before.
With every word, his breathing grew rougher.
“Even out of apology, shouldn’t you refrain from saying things like whether someone likes you or if they were bribed?”
Only after pouring out all his words did he realize that he had just blamed Cha Jeongwon. They were all words akin to throwing a tantrum.
Cha Jeongwon quietly stared at the huffing Ha-on and blurted out matter-of-factly:
“Just admit it.”
“What.”
“That you like me.”
Wow, holy crap…
Ha-on abruptly raised his hand and placed it on Cha Jeongwon’s body.
“Is this a wall?”
Otherwise, it shouldn’t be giving the feeling of talking to a brick wall.
Unsure how he interpreted Ha-on’s struggle, Cha Jeongwon’s gaze stared fixedly at Ha-on’s hand resting on his chest.
“It seems like you reset every morning when you wake up. Just how many times has this conversation been?”
How should he speak here to make him completely fed up?
“You stick to me like crazy to the point of being tiresome.”
“Why on earth do you say it like that!”
Ha-on practically screamed.
Even his ears turned red and his breathing turned rough.
Rather than throbbing with nervousness, he was angry. He was so angry that he could stare straight into Cha Jeongwon’s damn handsome face with his eyes wide open.
What’s the use of being that handsome? The guy is weird!
“There’s no reason, is there?”
Cha Jeongwon narrowed his eyes.
“If it’s not my mother, there’s no reason for you to be like this.”
Ha-on waved his hand wildly.
