As the sun set and the red glow of dusk painted the beach, the lively party began.
Loud music and dazzling lights filled the pool area.
With an unlimited supply of alcohol and food, the atmosphere quickly reached a fever pitch.
“Wow, it’s been so long since I partied like this.”
Ha Hyunsoo rose from his seat and began lightly swaying to the music.
Although his movements weren’t particularly large, there was a strange quality to them that drew everyone’s eyes.
Ha Hyunsoo soon tossed off his beach robe.
Fweeeet!
Someone whistled and cheered.
The contrast between his tiny black swimsuit and his pure porcelain skin created an erotic atmosphere.
Blatant gazes roamed over Ha Hyunsoo, but he gave them a provocative look as though he enjoyed the attention.
……But why did Sian keep feeling as though their eyes were meeting?
Sian lowered his head, his face slightly flushed.
Every time he looked up, his eyes met Ha Hyunsoo’s, which made him feel strangely uncomfortable.
……Is he keeping an eye on me because of Kang Juho?
Does it look like I’m interested in Kang Juho?
The instant that ridiculous thought occurred to him, Sian clenched his fist tightly.
He absolutely didn’t want anyone to get that kind of misunderstanding.
He resolved to keep an even greater distance from Kang Juho from now on.
As time passed, the party grew increasingly lively.
Along with Ha Hyunsoo, the others also stood up, clapping or swaying their bodies to the upbeat music.
Since everyone was wearing nothing but swimsuits, the sultry atmosphere came as an added bonus.
Sian seemed to be the only one who found the situation awkward and uncomfortable.
Sian had always lived a life far removed from nightlife and partying.
While other people went to bars or clubs, Sian moved from one part-time job to another and worked hard to save every penny he could.
Trying not to show how awkward he felt, Sian sipped his cocktail.
That was when he noticed Kang Juho dancing. Kang Juho was plastered to Ha Hyunsoo’s side, flailing his body like an inflatable tube man outside a gas station.
Standing beside Ha Hyunsoo, who was a good dancer, made the contrast even more pronounced, turning the sight into something straight out of a comedy.
Kang Juho seemed completely unaware of how he looked, swaying limply with his eyes half-closed. As Sian watched him, a disbelieving laugh escaped him before he could stop it.
In truth, Kang Juho was just as far removed from nightlife as Sian was.
Despite being an Alpha, he was hopeless at exercise or anything involving physical movement, and he didn’t know how to have fun either. He was the type of person whose entire life consisted of studying exactly as his frightening mother told him to, attending a good university, and getting a good job.
……So why had someone like him appeared on a dating show like Hidden Match?
Sian suddenly began to wonder.
At that moment, a staff member carrying a large tray approached him.
“Huh? I’m already full, so I can’t eat any more.”
Sian waved his hands in refusal, but the staff member silently set the tray down in front of him. Instead of food, a single card lay on top of it.
“……Is this a mission card?”
The moment Sian picked up the card and murmured, the music suddenly stopped, leaving the area silent.
Everyone had been looking around in confusion, but now all their gazes focused on Sian.
“Did we just get a mission card?”
Ryu Hwajin approached with shining eyes. Sian gave a short nod, then turned the mission card over.
“Matching Coins have been hidden around the pool. The person who collects the most within the thirty-minute time limit will receive the right to choose a date.”
“Wow! It’s a treasure hunt!”
A treasure hunt.
At the mention of the right to choose a date, everyone’s eyes gleamed even more brightly.
Then a loud ringing alarm sounded.
At once, the contestants cheered and scattered in every direction.
Sian also sprang to his feet and ran toward the garden.
To reduce any chance of being matched with Kang Juho, he had no choice but to find more Matching Coins himself.
However, Sian was so focused on searching for the coins that he didn’t notice someone following behind him at all.
