Grand Duke Humore presided over the meeting with the nobles in place of the Emperor, who lay ill in bed. After the meeting ended, he came to see the Empress again, using the pretext of requesting an audience with Aiden, who had become Crown Prince.
“Grand Duke, what is your reason for insisting on seeing the Crown Prince?”

Grand Duke Humore spoke to the Empress with an amused expression.
“I had known him to be of a healthy constitution… it seems he takes after Princess Zoe’s constitution.”
“I think I should go to the Crown Prince’s room.”
The Empress rose from her seat without answering Grand Duke Humore’s wish.
“I would like to go as well. I am worried about His Highness the Crown Prince.”
The Empress was silent for a moment with a sour expression, then reluctantly nodded.
“Well… do as you please.”
The two of them slowly admired the scenery beyond the window as they walked toward Aiden’s room.
