Idol of the Heavenly One - Chapter 117.1
The first concert was only a few days away. It was everyone’s first concert, so the days were filled with nonstop practice to perform well. On top of that, there were many group schedules and individual schedules, leaving almost no time to sleep.
After the release of the first full-length album, the dorm was split. The agency did this without informing them, probably thinking the members would be happy to have their own rooms.
After finishing my individual schedule, I arrived at the dorm’s underground parking lot. The manager told me to go to Building 3 instead of Building 8, where I had originally stayed.
“Since there are no neighboring units, we divided the buildings between 3 and 8. I-rip, Hee-min, and Myeong-hyeon are in Building 3. Soon-bok, Jae-heon, and Ji-hak are in the old Building 8 dorm.”
For a moment, I wondered if they were divided by height, but the manager quickly said, “Absolutely not by height,” and the suspicion became a certainty. Now that the dorm was split into two, each member would have their own room, and the remaining room would be occupied by the manager.
“There are beds and blankets in the new dorm, so just bring the essentials and a few clothes from the old dorm. The rest will be moved later by someone else.”
I headed to the old dorm with the manager. Hee-min, who had no individual schedule, had already placed his luggage in the living room. His face was bright with a smile, clearly happy about having his own room. I would have liked a room to myself too, but part of me felt a little disappointed. During these busy days, if I wasn’t sleeping, I wouldn’t have any time with Baek Jae-heon. Jae-heon also had an individual schedule today, so he was out. I figured he would be surprised when he returned.
[Our dorm got split. I’m packing my stuff to go to the other dorm.]
[Jae-heon: Noooo]
[Jae-heon: Don’t]
[Jae-heon: Don’t go.]
[Haha,ㅠㅠ]
I laughed at the desperate, typo-filled messages from Baek Jae-heon.
[Jae-heon: What’s funny about this? Nothing at all.]
[Hahaha]
[Jae-heon: I’m leaving early tomorrow for a photoshoot abroad.]
[Jae-heon: We won’t see each other for three days.]
[ㅠㅠ I know right]
[Jae-heon: ㅠ_ㅠ Don’t go.]
[Hahaha, I have to go ㅠㅠ Wait for the manager.]
[Jae-heon: The manager is me.]
[Let’s not involve anyone in our love.]
[Jae-heon: Our love ㅎㅎ Yes.]
[Hahaha, so simple]
[Jae-heon: Haha]
Jae-heon replied quickly while resting. Distracted by the chat, I finally opened my wardrobe, packed a few outfits and small items into my carry-on, and went out to the living room. Go Hee-min was already gone.
“Did you pack everything? That’s all you need?”
“Yes. For now.”
“Hee-min packed so much he needed immediately that I had to go back and forth twice.”
The manager shook his head and grabbed my suitcase. I said I could carry it, but he asked me to take out the Greek yogurt Hee-min made himself from the fridge since he didn’t know what it was. I swallowed a curse and opened the fridge, taking out the yogurt that Hee-min made every day.
“Let’s go.”
We headed to the new dorm together. It really felt like we were living separately now. My phone in my pocket kept vibrating; Jae-heon was clearly bombarding me with messages telling me not to leave.
[Jae-heon: You disappeared ㅜ]
[Jae-heon: Are you on your way?]
[Jae-heon: I’m sad]
[Jae-heon: ㅜㅜ]
[Jae-heon: This is cruel]
[Jae-heon: It’s not Myeong-hyeon being cruel, it’s society and the company that’s cruel.]
[Jae-heon: Even the manager ㅠ]
As expected, Jae-heon had sent all kinds of affectionate messages. I calmed him down a bit and smiled while organizing my luggage. Exhausted, I fell asleep early that night.
Touch-
At dawn, I woke up half-asleep to the sensation of lips brushing mine. Baek Jae-heon was kneeling beside my bed, looking down at me. For a moment, I couldn’t tell if it was a dream or reality. As I rubbed my eyes to focus, his large, warm hand stopped mine, as if telling me not to rub them.
