Idol of the Heavenly One - Chapter 21.1
From early dawn, half-asleep, I got up and went to the shop for hair and makeup. Without a chance to come to my senses, we moved again for our debut stage on the music show. As soon as we arrived, without even a short break, we went around the whole broadcasting station bowing in greeting. Just when I thought I could catch my breath, we went straight into the pre-recording.
“Cheonmyeong-ah! Ji Cheonmyeong!”
But then something strange happened. While I was on stage getting ready, I suddenly heard my name from behind me.
“Yes?”
“Nervous?!”
I had just debuted, like a chick whose shell hadn’t even fully cracked yet, and yet someone sitting in the audience, who looked like a fan of some group, had called my name.
“Me…?”
“Ah, so cute!!”
“So cuuute―”
Kyaaaa―! At my answer, the people in the audience laughed and said I was cute. Confused, I turned my head back and forth, and then the members watching beside me started laughing too.
“Why are you laughing?”
“They’re our fans!”
“…Ours?”
“Yeah!”
“How?”
How could we already have fans? This was our first stage, we had only released a single music video. There had been no way to communicate at all, so how did they know me and become fans?
“What’s with him, seriously?”
“Looks like he’s sleepwalking.”
“I-idiot.”
“Myeong-hyeon hyung, are you still half-asleep?”
But instead of sharing my sense of wonder, the members each threw a remark at me as if my reaction was ridiculous. Am I the strange one? No, isn’t it surprising to already have fans?
“…”
I thought maybe Baek Jae-heon, who hadn’t said a word next to us, was thinking the same thing I was. But he just kept silently watching the audience, as if trying to remember every single person there. So maybe he was just as amazed. I wanted to talk to him, but somehow I didn’t want to break his concentration.
“Are you our fans?”
“Yes!!!”
So I just asked the fans directly to make sure, and a loud reply came back from the audience.
“…Wow.”
It was real. They were really our fans. The idea that someone could become a fan from just a short music video was amazing. Well, I guess with Baek Jae-heon’s face, that short video would be more than enough to gain fans, but among the ones who asked me if I was nervous and said I was cute, there were fans of mine too. That was what amazed me the most.
“…Huh?”
But then my expression twisted.
“Isn’t it four in the morning right now?”
“That’s right!”
“No, I mean, do you know what time it is…!”
It suddenly hit me. It was four in the morning. For us, this was work, so of course we had to get up early and prepare. But for the fans, it wasn’t like they were being paid for this, and they probably had to go to school or work. So how in the world did they get here?
Kyaaa―!
Surprised, I accidentally sounded like I was scolding them. But the fans found that funny and laughed even harder.
“We’ve been waiting outside since one in the morning!”
“What? Why?”
“To get our attendance checked! It was so cold!”
Unbelievable. It might be November, but waiting outside at that hour? Shocked, I froze, unable to react at all, and the fans murmured again that I was cute.
Looking more closely, their faces were all red, probably from being exposed to the cold for so long. In my past life, if I’d had a daughter, she would’ve been about their age. Thinking that girls that age had been shivering outside waiting for us made me feel terrible. Even though I’d never had a daughter.
“…Thank you.”
I couldn’t scold kids who had waited for us in the cold and put themselves at risk. All I could do was thank them.
“Do your best on stage!”
“Ji Cheonmyeong, you’re amazing!”
“Congratulations on your debut!!”
Even though I probably didn’t look too happy, words of support poured out. Their expressions were sincere, some even smiled as if to say they were fine.
“…”
Seeing that made my chest tighten. In my past life, there was never anyone who cheered me on, told me I was amazing, or congratulated me.
“Thank you!”
So I shouted again, louder this time. I wanted to put the same sincerity into it as the people who were cheering for me.
“YEARZ, we’ll begin our stage now!”
And then our very first stage began.

[Fan Account] K-pop Music Show YEARZ Pre-recording Review
Author: Harullara’s Light
I went to the pre-recording, so here’s my real-life impression of the members in age order! I combined my friends’ opinions too!
Also, these emojis aren’t official, but fans collected them after seeing them in person.
Joo I-rip — Deer emoji
He looks like a noble prince. Totally a deerㅠㅠ!!! His features are clean and his smile is beautiful. But he’s also really playful, always joking around with fans and often making mischievous faces. And his dancing is incredibly sharp! I heard he’s been a trainee the longest, and I believe it now!! His dance style is very CZ-level precise. Seeing such sharp moves on a princely face, he really feels like a prince who got drafted into the army.
Go Hee-min — Fox emoji
His eyes are small, but his face is tiny too, so his celebrity aura is insane. And his Chungcheong-do accentㅋㅋㅋㅋ He seems kind of aloof, but his way of speaking is very folksyㅋㅋ He drops one-liners without realizing he’s funny. Ah, and he sings insanely well. I thought, wow, CZ really did it. His high notes were so good everyone just stared with their mouths open.
