Idol of the Heavenly One - Chapter 32.2
“Do you have Instagram?”
“Sorry? Ah, we haven’t been allowed to make one yet.”
But he did not back down so easily. Seungchan asked if I had a social media account. Of course, I didn’t. Our group had only debuted two months ago, so opening any SNS was prohibited.
“No, no. I mean, do you have a private account?”
“A private account?”
A private account? I was not sure, though I thought I knew what he meant.
“Make one and add me as a friend.”
“Ah…”
I had no plans to make one, and right now, getting closer to my own members was more urgent than socializing with other idols. I was about to refuse when—
“Ji Myeong-hyeon.”
“Huh?”
“Blanket.”
I turned my head. Go Hee-min, who was right next to me, stayed still, but Baek Jae-heon, sitting one seat over, was holding out a blanket he had brought from somewhere.
“Oh, uh, thanks—”
“If you’re going to use it—”
But suddenly, midway, he pulled the blanket back toward himself.
“Switch seats with Go Hee-min.”
What the hell was that supposed to mean? Both Go Hee-min and I made odd expressions at the same time. Go Hee-min looked like he was thinking, “So what am I then?” and I felt strangely unsettled. This was… how should I put it… hmm.
“No, it’s fine. I’m not cold.”
It was an itchy kind of feeling.
Something told me instinctively that if I shared a blanket with Baek Jae-heon here, my face would turn completely red. I had no idea why, but it just felt like it would. So I said I was not cold and refused the blanket.
“…”
Then Baek Jae-heon stared straight at me in silence. I could not figure out what his gaze meant.
It felt like he might be annoyed… or irritated… but why did seeing that expression make me feel even itchier inside?
…What in the world was this?
Well, whatever. At least my conversation with Seungchan was cut off, and I felt a little relieved. Right then—
Clap—
The entire arena went dark, as if AAM was about to begin.

At the same time, the stage lit up with a performance by a girl group that had been rising in popularity.
“YEARZ, once the third group’s stage ends, you should head backstage to change into your stage outfits.”
As the second group’s performance ended, staff gave us instructions to go prepare after the third group’s stage.
“Huh…?”
When the third idol group started, I spotted a familiar face.
“Hyun-jun?”
Was that Hyun-jun? Lee Ji-eun’s former favorite? The one who never debuted with DIAI because he hadn’t appeared on the survival program? But the face wasn’t exactly the same. His styling here was completely different from back then, so I wasn’t sure. I figured I’d need to learn the group’s name and look it up later.
“Hee-min.”
“Yeah.”
“What’s the name of that idol group?”
“The one performing now?”
“Yeah.”
“How would I know that?”
Damn it. I was an idiot for asking Go Hee-min. I thought maybe Baek Jae-heon might know, so I leaned slightly to ask—
“They’re called Nest. That group.”
But Seungchan, sitting nearby, was faster. Somehow, even in this noisy place, he had sharp ears. Still, at least I got the name: Nest.
“Why? Do you have your eye on someone?”
“Sorry?”
“Hyun-jun? He’s their visual.”
“Ah…”
He even confirmed it was Hyun-jun. Seungchan really was incredibly knowledgeable about idols. It was almost impressive. But how could he so casually suggest that I, a guy, might be interested in another guy? Well… in my case, I supposed it was true, though in a different way.
Anyway, if that really was Hyun-jun, judging from the order, his group must have debuted around the same time as ours. So even without DIAI, he had managed to debut somehow. Did Lee Ji-eun already move on from Hyun-jun to Baek Jae-heon? Or had she skipped over Hyun-jun this time?
Wait, hold on.
He managed to debut somehow?
“…”
A sudden, ominous theory began to form in my mind.
