On the back of Baek Jae-heon’s neck, which I had been absentmindedly looking down at, I saw a bead of sweat glistening. He really must be exhausted. Well, even if he was full of energy at this age, he was still only eighteen. In a few days, he would be nineteen, but still. Thinking he must be having a hard time, I reached out and wiped the sweat off Jae-heon’s neck.

“What, hey…!”

Suddenly Baek Jae-heon flinched in shock, grabbed his neck, and quickly turned around. My legs inevitably touched the ground.

Apparently cameras were also installed here, because the score that had been shown as zero on the team board dropped down to -2.

“Are you insane?”

“What are you talking about? Then why do you think I’m being carried around by you.”

I could not use my legs, so I was being carried. He could not use his hands, so I was wiping his sweat for him. What was the problem? When I gave him a baffled look, Jae-heon seemed to realize that too. He stared at me with a flustered expression, then let out a sigh and ruffled his own hair.

Episode 1 started with a grim reaper appearing to wake up the members, and I thought it was going to be nothing but silly situations… but the moment they pushed the Jae-heon × Myeong-hyeon pairing, they dropped a massive piece of foreshadowing.

First of all… the fact that the two are roommates is just too much. I feel like I am going insane.

I mean, on the radio they played up their hateful chemistry so hard… I really thought they were a real bickering couple. But in truth, they were tricking everyone? They are actually roommates?! Even though the youngest, Ji-hak, gets to use a room alone, and even though Soonbok, who is the same age as them, also uses a room alone, those two insist on sharing a room together…! Crazy!!! An otaku woman dies here…

Anyway, Baek Jae-heon sneaked back in early in the morning without the production crew knowing, and as he was heading for water after waking up, he ran into Ji Cheonmyeong. That moment was so wasted! I really wanted to see Jae-heon’s startled expression!

So Jae-heon asked the grim reaper to help him act so they could trick Cheonmyeong. The grim reaper came into their room and shouted,

“Ji Cheonmyeong! The abyss awaits your soul!”

And Cheonmyeong sat up with a face showing pure 100% annoyance. It was hilarious. If it were me, I would have been scared stiff seeing that grim reaper makeup with the black lips, but he did not even flinch and instead asked if this was for their content. What a man.

“Yes, you scoundrel! The river beyond has been waiting for you for a long time!”

The grim reaper was flustered for a moment, but immediately went into his next line. But Cheonmyeong ignored him completely and looked at Baek Jae-heon. It seemed like he realized something was strange. His expression was exactly like >> Huh? Why isn’t Jae-heon waking up?

He even shook Jae-heon, but when he did not wake up, he stared for a moment and then suddenly asked out of nowhere,

“You are on your second life, aren’t you?”

“You debuted in your previous life, didn’t you?”

“You are a recycled rookie, right.”

Then when it became obvious Jae-heon was in on the prank, his voice turned full of mischief. And eventually Jae-heon admitted it, saying it was true he was on his second life, but he had not debuted in his previous one. Yet he still insisted he was a recycled rookie. What nonsense, but so funny.

The two of them were acting completely sweet together. Then when Jae-heon asked how he knew the grim reaper was fake, Cheonmyeong said it was because he was “too much of a grim reaper.” What does that even mean?

And then the others were hilarious too. Joo I-rip and Go Hee-min sharing a room was shocking. I thought Hee-min would insist on having his own room because he is so sensitive. But the four most sensitive members are sharing rooms while the ones who get singles are the youngest and the most gentle? This group is so strange and funny.

Joo I-rip and Go Hee-min both freaked out at the grim reaper (though it was mostly Joo I-rip, like 90%). Joo was ranting that it was absurd to die so young, while Hee-min was whining that he thought he would die from lack of sleep. How could I not laugh?

And then our Soonbok peach… trembling and crying, so precious. The production team are real jerks. But seeing him cry made me happy, so I guess I am the real jerk. And Kwon Ji-hak, since he is in the middle of a growth spurt, just went back to sleep.

Anyway, Episode 1 managed to deliver fun, emotion, and even romance (^^). I am so happy.
