I pushed away Baek Jae-heon, who kept clinging to me, and approached Lee Soonbok. I wanted to offer some comfort, like saying, ‘Joo I-rip didn’t mean to be harsh on purpose.’ But thinking that the others might have noticed our relationship made it hard to speak. I worried it might seem hypocritical. So I simply stayed close, observing quietly.
“I-I’m fine. Go inside and rest. Because of me, everyone couldn’t rest either.”
Since everyone remained near instead of going into their rooms, Lee Soonbok spoke first with a calm voice. Everyone waved their hands, insisting it was fine, and stayed nearby. Lee Soonbok let out a deflated laugh.

After Lee Soonbok went into his room, the members naturally dispersed. As soon as I entered the room with Baek Jae-heon, I spoke.
“I think we need to be more careful.”
“About what?”
“Our relationship. Everyone’s noticed.”

“It might be too much in front of the fans.”
Baek Jae-heon leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. Slowly looking at me, he chuckled.
“Fans will like it.”
“Some fans won’t.”
“Probably.”
Even his brief answer carried an attitude that fans didn’t matter. Honestly, even for Baek Jae-heon, this felt extreme.
“We can’t please all the fans, but we should at least be careful.”
Hearing me, he uncrossed his arms and walked slowly toward me.
“I’m already being careful.”
I clicked my tongue in disbelief. That’s what he calls being careful? Yet he came up close with a completely serious expression. When one hand rested on my shoulder, my body stiffened automatically.
“I value the fans too.”
His touch brushed along my neck and lightly moved my hair. Ticklish. Even though he had done this many times, it still made my heart flutter.
“I value and appreciate you, so I can do this three times.”
Baek Jae-heon met my eyes directly. Embarrassed, I looked away, but he gently lifted my chin to force eye contact.
“Otherwise, I would have gone crazy already.”
His voice was close and whispered, making it hard to breathe.
“But I can’t help that I like you.”
“….”
“Honestly, I want to look at you only, camera or not.”
With his other hand, he supported my back.
“But for you…”
He slowly pulled me toward him.
