May Every Wound Be Fatal - Chapter 72.2
Her entire body tensed as her lower abdomen clenched tightly.
Reyna knew what this feeling meant now.
Sensing the unbearable climax approaching, she squeezed her eyes shut and desperately clutched the arm wrapped around her waist.
“Ah… ah… aaah… Elizer… ah…!”
The next instant, Elizer pulled her fiercely into his arms and buried his face against her shoulder. Feeling his ragged breaths pour against her ear, Reyna trembled uncontrollably with pleasure, trapped within his embrace.
The length inside her pulsed.
Letting out a muffled groan, he hurriedly withdrew.
She felt his hot release spill carelessly across her hips and lower back.
He always finished outside.
It was probably because of Thales’s advice—that her body was still too fragile to safely endure pregnancy and childbirth.
Even so, Reyna always felt an odd sense of disappointment.
But it was quickly overwhelmed by the lingering aftershocks of her climax.
Her body went limp, and her thoughts could no longer continue.
She truly didn’t have the strength left to move even a finger…
“Reyna…”
Almost unconsciously, Reyna turned her head.
Elizer had already lifted his face and was looking at her.
His gaze was hazy, yet fierce desire still shimmered deep within his vivid blue eyes.
It struck Reyna once again how strange it was that a man who appeared so restrained and ascetic was, in truth, desire incarnate.
Then again…
She wasn’t much different.
Despite being utterly exhausted, the moment their eyes met, her body instinctively tensed, and a dull ache stirred low in her abdomen.
Finding it absurd that her desire had more stamina than the rest of her body, Reyna let out a quiet laugh.
“Hehe…”
“Don’t worry. I won’t… any more than this.”
Elizer seemed to feel guilty for some reason.
Whispering with visible embarrassment, he casually pressed his still-damp body against hers.
Yet despite having climaxed several times already, his arousal still stood firm.
Feeling it poke insistently against her thigh, as though silently pleading with her, Reyna couldn’t help laughing again.
…To think I used to worry about our wedding night with a man like this.
The thought made her act on impulse.
She slipped her arms around his neck.
Elizer’s eyes widened slightly in surprise, and a quiet anticipation flickered across the gaze fixed on her.
And so, once again, Reyna found herself swept away by him.
“Just once more. After that… really, no more.”
“Ah, Reyna…”
Or perhaps…
She thought with a faint smile…
…it was he who had been swept away by her.
A quiet laugh escaped Reyna’s lips as she leaned her head against the rim of the bath and closed her eyes.
Hearing that pleasant laughter, Aileen —who was carefully washing one of Reyna’s arms—smiled unconsciously.
“Shouldn’t you have slept a little longer?”
“I probably could have. But if I had, the sun would’ve gone down before I woke.”
Reyna had slept unusually late that day.
In fact, she had only gotten up because Aileen had grown worried after waiting and waiting for her to wake, and finally came to rouse her.
After all, the previous night, they had stayed together until dawn.
Once desire overtook them, it became difficult to stop making love.
And Elizer seemed to be no different.
Just a little longer… just a little longer…
They had repeated those words until they both fell asleep as though they had fainted, unable to let go of one another.
Even though Reyna couldn’t help thinking that, at this rate, her body wouldn’t survive much longer, she didn’t actually feel much sense of danger.
More than anything, she simply found herself wishing for the sun to set so he would come to her again.
Then, suddenly, a question occurred to her.
If they desired each other this much—if all it took was meeting each other’s eyes before they ended up in bed together—
…then why had they never had a child?
As far as Reyna knew, there had never been one between them.
Until now, that fact hadn’t particularly bothered her.
But suddenly, it struck her as rather strange.
After all…
She had been his wife for more than six years.
“…It’s strange that we still don’t have any children.”
She had spoken the thought aloud without meaning to.
The next moment, the hand with which Aileen had been washing her body noticeably froze.
Opening her eyes in puzzlement, Reyna looked at her.
“What’s wrong?”
