Hae-jun led Lee Kang-ju away, suggesting they have a light drink since they were already out. Lee Kang-ju did not refuse. Perhaps it was because he found Hae-jun’s effort to find him a hobby to be admirable.

Lee Kang-ju did not let a drop of alcohol touch his lips. His reason was that he had to drive. When Hae-jun asked why not just call a designated driver, he replied that it was much better to do it himself. When Hae-jun jokingly asked if he didn’t even trust designated drivers, he simply offered his usual smile in place of an answer.

At any rate, since they had entered a bar, they had to moisten their throats. Although Hae-jun drank alone, fortunately, he didn’t have to pour for himself. Whenever his glass was empty, Lee Kang-ju filled it, and when Hae-jun signaled for a toast, Lee Kang-ju matched him with his water cup.

To think he was drinking outside with Lee Kang-ju. Because of his excited mood, the alcohol went down easier than usual. Was that why? By the time they finished the session and came out, Hae-jun was thoroughly drunk and staggered with every step. He wasn’t at the point where he couldn’t control his body at all, but he was at a level where he needed someone solid to lean on so he wouldn’t fall.

Lee Kang-ju readily became Hae-jun’s support. Even when Hae-jun tripped over a rock and almost fell forward, Lee Kang-ju caught him by the crooks of his arms and pulled him upright calmly.

“Can we sit for just a moment before we go? I feel a bit sick.”

Because he had poured the drinks in so quickly, it felt as though the alcohol was trying to climb back up his esophagus from his stomach. Fearing he might truly cause an accident, Hae-jun grabbed the edge of Lee Kang-ju’s sleeve.

The night air happened to be cold, making it perfect for cooling down his heated body. Hae-jun took a seat on a nearby bench first. When he patted the spot next to him, gesturing for him to come over, Lee Kang-ju willingly sat by his side.

“How was today? The movie, the bar, and all that.”

“It was fine.”

It was a dull answer compared to the plan he had ambitiously prepared. Hae-jun gripped the bench with both hands and pushed for a further response.

“Be more specific. Tell me if it was exciting, or if there were parts that were disappointing. If you tell me, I’ll plan it better next time.”

“Isn’t today enough?”

“Aey, you can’t call it a hobby if it ends after just one time. Don’t you think you have to try it several times to distinguish whether it suits you or not?”

“Is that so?”

“Shall we go to an exhibition next time? Or how about hiking? If the weather is clear, it would be nice to visit the Hanok Village over there. I heard everyone walking around wearing Hanbok. I think you would look great in a Hanbok, CEO. Wearing a Gat and letting a Dopo flutter behind you.”

Given his fine stature, he would look magnificent in anything, but he would look like someone plucked straight out of a historical drama, making everyone turn their heads.

Although he had labeled it as being for Lee Kang-ju, in truth, most of it was what Hae-jun wanted. He wanted to do the things he couldn’t do before because he lacked time and money together with Lee Kang-ju.

While babbling incessantly, Hae-jun continuously stole glances at Lee Kang-ju’s profile. Perhaps because he was drunk, his gaze was particularly drawn to those lips today.

They were not too broad nor too narrow, but just the right size and beautifully shaped, being plump on the top and bottom. Words like “handsome” were attached to his eyes, nose, and jaw, but those lips alone were as lovely as a lipstick advertisement model, stealing one’s gaze. The impulse to press down on them with his hand or something else had been popping up frequently since a moment ago.

How could a man with such a good face have lips that were so harmonious and suggestive? A person is supposed to have at least one lacking corner to seem human, but Lee Kang-ju, despite being a thug who reeked of blood, was born with an excessively good outer shell. He was a flower that possessed deadly poison yet deceived others with a sweet scent and a beautiful appearance.

Suddenly, courage surged within him. Due to the alcohol flowing through his veins, Hae-jun’s eyes were unfocused and hazy.

“CEO, do you know that even your lips are handsome?”

Lee Kang-ju quietly turned his head. Hae-jun tucked his hands between his thighs and giggled thoughtlessly. He was a man he had been terrified might kill him, but since some alcohol had entered his system, his fear had lessened. He wanted to talk about anything.

“Really, you’re fucking handsome.”

“You seem very drunk.”

“I’m perfectly fine. Look at this.”

Hae-jun stood up abruptly. Closing his eyes and spreading both arms wide to the sides, he took three steps. His body, which should have gone in a straight line, swayed diagonally this way and that as if he were walking a tightrope.

“See? It’s nothing.”

After clearly proving that he was drunk, Hae-jun laughed loosely. As Lee Kang-ju stared at him, he returned to the seat next to him and flopped down.

“Especially the lips… they’re really…”
