Hae-jun endured it while groaning. It was because Lee Kang-ju might leave at a single word from him. Fortunately, as if he had no intention of doing more, the man gripped the inside of Hae-jun’s thigh firmly once before letting go.

“You could stay the night if you’d like.”

He made the timid suggestion from behind Lee Kang-ju, who was washing up and getting dressed. As expected, Lee Kang-ju declined, saying he was fine. Lee Kang-ju stroked the head of the struggling-to-smile Hae-jun as if he were a puppy.

“Don’t make that kind of face.”

“Is my expression strange?”

“Very.”

“I guess it’s because I’m sleepy.”

Talking about something else, he watched Lee Kang-ju put on his shoes. It was around 5:00 AM, and because it was early winter, it was still a deep night beyond the curtains.

“CEO.”

Lee Kang-ju looked back. Standing at the entrance, Hae-jun hid his hands behind his back as if to conceal his expression.

“Please come over often. The house feels so empty when you aren’t here.”

In truth, he wanted to say he missed him. But for some reason, saying those few words was more embarrassing than when he had pushed his lips forward and begged for a kiss.

“……”

Suddenly, Lee Kang-ju tilted his head and kissed Hae-jun’s lips. Fixing the back of Hae-jun’s neck firmly so he couldn’t escape, the man swept through his mouth shortly but intensely, as if saying goodbye.

“See you next time.”

After stamping a kiss on his lips, Lee Kang-ju opened the door. Hae-jun remained frozen like ice until he could no longer hear the sound of the door closing or the thudding footsteps.

Then, the strength left his legs all at once, and he slumped down on the spot. It hurt because he fell on his rear, but more than that, his face was burning up. Especially his lips, which were bitten, pressed, and sucked until they were practically wounded, were hotter than any other part of his body.

“Wow, damn……”

Lee Kang-ju should have been the male prostitute. Lee Kang-ju was a formidable charmer. With just one kiss, he set fire to Hae-jun’s chest and body. If he whispered “I love you” while kissing someone, the other person would surely provide him with car keys even if they had to sell a kidney to do it.

Finished with his reminiscence, he took his hands away from his face. The reddish glow had vanished. However, he could not avoid the look in Yohan’s eyes, who was staring at him pitifully.

“It’s that guy, isn’t it?”

“No.”

“This guy is starting to lie now. Lying to me won’t work, so let’s not waste the effort, Cha Hae-jun.”

“I wonder why our Yohan doesn’t open a fortune telling shop. If you read fortunes with that intuition, you’d be able to buy ten buildings.”

Yohan smirked. Seeing as the height of the corners of his mouth differed, it was a sneer.

“You’ve fallen for him, you’ve fallen.”

“I haven’t. ……Not yet.”

He hoped he hadn’t. He told himself it was just because it was his first time kissing a man, and the same went for sleeping together, and the reason Lee Kang-ju lingered in his mind was simply because he was his first male customer.

Once Lee Kang-ju’s interest waned and he started taking other customers, he believed the thoughts of the man would be wiped clean as if they had never existed. He believed that.

“Oh, please,” Yohan scoffed.

“Talking to you is just a waste of my breath. No matter what I say, if you’re going to give him your heart anyway, just please don’t fall too deep. Only like him enough so that you can pull out at any time.”

“Is that even possible?”

Hae-jun asked innocently. Searching through his own history to see if there had ever been a person who occupied his mind this much, he found no one. When he was young, he was too busy surviving, and after losing his virginity, he lived focusing only on “how can I cater to the customer’s whims to get even one more cent.”

That was why he didn’t know how to explain the feeling that arose when looking at Lee Kang-ju—a feeling that was warm, yet made him feel suddenly cold when the man wasn’t in sight. Grand expressions like “liking” or “loving” did not suit him. Those were things that were not supposed to exist in his life.

“You have to make it possible. If it doesn’t work, call me. If you want to date, I’ll pick out a decent human being and bring them to you.”

“I don’t have the leisure to date. I don’t have money, so how would I go on dates?”

“I’ll bring someone with lots of money. But if even that doesn’t work, go somewhere far away, even if only for a short time. When the body is far, the heart follows.”

“Have you ever done that?”

“Liked someone? Of course not. My only lover is money. Only money is my girlfriend, lover, wife, and god.”

Yohan crossed himself and gathered his hands, saying his piety was used solely for serving money. His expression was as reverent as a priest’s, but his inner thoughts were nothing short of profane. If a god had seen him, they would have certainly struck him with a bolt of lightning for being such a rascal.

“I hope you’re the same. Don’t give your heart to anything else.”

Having finished his prayer, Yohan looked at Hae-jun seriously. Hae-jun, who had been making air sucking sounds while trying to drink the coffee hidden beneath the ice, flinched and laughed as if his conscience had been pricked. It was something he wasn’t confident in.
