That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 21.1
“What is this?”
“Uh….”
Jae-gyeong, who had not expected Da-sol to appear at this time, flustered and quickly tried to pull out a prepared line.
“Se… Seo Da-sol, Hunter! Since we are staying together, how about eating together and having a serious conversation… about our feelings…?”
“…What?”
Da-sol asked, clenching his fists. Jae-gyeong’s face turned pale. His words tangled and got completely mixed up in his head.
“No, no, what I meant was… since we are staying together, we could eat… not eat your heart, I mean dinner… and then have a serious… uh, conversation.”
For the first time in his life, Jae-gyeong experienced someone looking at him with such a pitiful and disgusted gaze. It felt as if Da-sol’s single look made him feel like food waste, a cockroach, a clump of hair in a drain, or dried-up sludge on the road.
Why am I like this? Why am I such an idiot? I was never this dumb before. Why do I always mess up in front of Da-in… I mean, Da-sol?
“I… I’m sorry… sniff…”
Finally, the tears Jae-gyeong had been holding back spilled from his eyes. It was only natural that Da-sol would think of him as disgusting. He really was that awful.
“Why… why are you crying like this?”
Da-sol frowned in confusion. A man much bigger than him made a comment that was almost sexual harassment, then suddenly started crying.
Am I dreaming? Did I dislike this hunter Jae-gyeong so much that I’m having a dream this strange? As Da-sol thought this, Jae-gyeong rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand and shook his head.
“I’m sorry… please rest…”
He slumped his shoulders and trudged back to his room. His legs seemed weak, making his walk look awkward. The sniffles from his nose sounded pitiful.
Da-sol sighed and scratched the back of his head. This guy was really annoying.
“Hey.”
Da-sol called Jae-gyeong back. Jae-gyeong, looking pitiful with shimmering eyes, turned to face him.
“Yes…?”
“Sigh… I meant we were going to have dinner, right?”
“Y-Yes… But if you don’t want to, you don’t have to eat… I think I wouldn’t want to either… sniff…”
“No, stop crying.”
Da-sol said irritably as he walked toward the kitchen.
“What do you want to eat?”
“Sniff… huh…?”
“…Let’s have dinner and have a proper conversation. I feel frustrated too.”
He opened the kitchen cabinet and took out three packs of ramen.
“How many do you want?”
“One…”
At Jae-gyeong’s answer, Da-sol took out one more pack of ramen.
So, Da-sol is so small and delicate, yet he eats three servings of ramen by himself? What…?
“I only know how to make ramen, so let’s just eat ramen.”
“Okay… thank you… sniff…”
“…Go to the bathroom, stop crying, and come back. It’s annoying.”
“Yes…”
Jae-gyeong replied dejectedly and obediently went into the bathroom, closing the door. The sound of running water from the faucet echoed clearly, interspersed with sniffles and sobs. Da-sol could not believe it.
What kind of man cries like this? And he is so tall too. He shook his head and found a pot to fill with water.

By the time Jae-gyeong had finished washing his face in the bathroom, four servings of ramen had already been neatly portioned into bowls. The pile of kimchi looked appetizing. Da-sol’s bowl had three servings, while Jae-gyeong’s had one, but both looked equally delicious.
“I will… eat well…”
The steam rising from the ramen made Da-sol’s face today resemble Da-in’s. Jae-gyeong sat across from him, eyes wide open.
‘This person is Seo Da-sol, not Seo Da-in. A man with a bad personality.’
Yes, he had a bad personality, ate a lot, and cursed freely. He was completely different from Da-in. They only looked similar. But today, Jae-gyeong decided he would stop mistaking faces. He would let his heart know directly. By continuing to expose himself to Da-sol, he believed both his mind and heart would painfully realize that this man was not Da-in.
He lifted his chopsticks solemnly and slurped the ramen.
“Ah…!”
His sharp triangular eyes quickly rounded. Jae-gyeong called out to Da-sol.
“This is so delicious…!”
It was the taste that never came when he cooked at home. The taste reminded him of ordering a single bowl at a snack shop with a friend as a child, each stealing bites from one another. The taste brought a wave of nostalgia.
