That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 35.2
“Shall we start opening these first?”
Hyeon Hee-ro calmed the hunters, who were sparkling with excitement and practically drooling like predators staring at food, and then opened the topmost box.
Inside was a weapon that looked like a small oxygen respirator.
Mana Replenisher (S)
The weapon had that name on it. Ye-jin stood up from her seat.
“That’s mine!”
Three years ago, when Jeong Jeong-eon lacked mana, he had carried a dungeon boss monster alive in his backpack as a makeshift mana supply. This idea was inspired by that incident. Ye-jin strapped the device, which had backpack-like straps, onto her back and placed the attached oxygen mask over her nose and mouth.
When she pressed the button on the respirator, mana flowed into her body.
“When you keep casting spells, your mana inevitably runs out. Drinking potions takes time, and sometimes Da-sol’s healing isn’t available, so I ordered this kind of weapon. This way, I can replenish mana instantly.”
It seemed like a very useful weapon. It suited a mage well and was simple and efficient to use. Excited, Ye-jin returned to her seat with the Mana Replenisher on her back.
“Now, the next weapon.”
The next box was very small. When Hyeon Hee-ro opened it, a glove with webbing came out. Each glove had eight fingers, and the webbing between them was numerous enough to look a little unsettling.
“Oh, that’s mine!”
Yoo Ri-na raised her hand. Hyeon Hee-ro tossed the glove gently toward her, and she caught it and put it on her right hand.
“I thought this might let me shoot up to ten arrows at once, so I requested it. I’ll need to practice really hard, though.”
Even the parts where her fingers didn’t fully reach were designed to move in sync with her other fingers.
Cheongung Gloves (S)
The glove had that name. Ri-na seemed pleased with the word “Cheongung” and hummed a tune.
“Next weapon up.”
The following box was huge. Jae-gyeong instinctively knew it would be his shield. Sure enough, the third box contained his shield.
Jae-gyeong stepped forward, took the shield, and strapped it onto his left arm. It fit smoothly and comfortably, allowing him to move without any difficulty. As he angled his left arm, a sharp point emerged from the previously blunt edge of the shield.
“Wow!”
The other team members clapped in admiration. Of course, Da-sol did not react.
The shield was named Paladin’s Shield (S). Paladin’s Shield… the name was very straightforward. As Jae-gyeong thought this, Hyeon Hee-ro opened another box of similar size.
“Oh? This one’s for Da-sol. It looks really similar to Jae-gyeong’s.”
Hyeon Hee-ro said and pulled out a shield.
Shield of Salvation (S)
But Da-sol’s shield had a different name. Jae-gyeong thought the name suited Da-sol perfectly. Of course, he had never received salvation from Da-sol, nor seen him save anyone, nor did he think Da-sol would want to, but it was an appropriate name for a healer’s weapon.
“Wow, that’s so cool, Da-sol hyung!”
At that moment, the room fell silent. Everyone turned to look at the speaker. Sitting farthest from Da-sol, Yoon Yi-hyeon smiled brightly at him and gave double thumbs up.
“…Hmm.”
Da-sol responded vaguely and took his shield. He did not seem interested in testing it right away.
Hyeon Hee-ro, unusually dumbfounded, asked,
“Yi-hyeon, did you just call Da-sol hyung?”
“Yep! We decided to do a hyung-dongsaeng thing! Right, hyung?”
“…Sigh.”
Da-sol merely sighed instead of replying, making it seem like Yi-hyeon’s claim was one-sided. Still, it was remarkable that he could casually call Da-sol hyung without any backlash.
Jeong Jeong-eon swallowed and, calmly as if handling an excited large dog, asked,
“Yoon Yi-hyeon, are you sure you confirmed this with Seo Da-sol? I am asking for Yi-hyeon’s safety.”
