Even though he knew Da-sol did not particularly like Yi-hyeon and had responded indifferently just moments ago, Jae-gyeong kept consciously looking back.

While mechanically blocking, attacking, and dodging the monsters that popped out from time to time, he glanced back at Da-sol and Yi-hyeon countless times. The two were not having another conversation, but because Yi-hyeon was providing protection, he was running and jumping in a way that practically looked like he was embracing Da-sol.

‘Is there really a need to go that far?’

Jae-gyeong thought as he sliced through a Murder Vine with the blade at the edge of his shield. No matter how he looked at it, it seemed like Yi-hyeon was instinctively rubbing up against Da-sol ever since he received a heal from him.

It was understandable. Da-sol’s heal was incredibly ecstatic. It was to the level where even if Da-sol wasn’t expending magical energy, just being in contact with him created a placebo effect.

Even so, wasn’t that entirely too full of ulterior motives? Anger crept up stealthily inside Jae-gyeong’s chest. It was a rare occurrence for Jae-gyeong, who almost never got angry.

As if venting his anger, he slaughtered the monsters. Thanks to Jae-gyeong clearing the path ahead so flawlessly, there was barely any need for the other team members to lift a finger.

“Whoa, Mr. Jae-gyeong, take it easy. We don’t even know when the boss will show up, so aren’t you expending too much strength?”

“The tanker’s role is originally to open the path, and if I perform this role well, it will also be a help to the other team members.”

“That is true, but…”

Behind him, Hee-ro and Ye-jin whispered, “Is Mr. Jae-gyeong pissed off because he’s too exhausted?” and “Somehow, it feels that way, right?” but Jae-gyeong ignored them. Strangely, the more monsters he killed, the angrier he became.

‘He avoided me for an entire week. When he healed me, he forcefully grabbed my jaw and pried it open. Why is he being so kind to Hunter Yoon Yi-hyeon?’ (For the record, Da-sol had never acted kindly).

Now it went beyond anger, and a sense of sorrow even welled up. The moment he detected that sorrow, Jae-gyeong’s tear ducts were fully prepared to open the floodgates as always. With tear-rimmed eyes, Jae-gyeong snuffled and advanced forward aggressively.

Boom!

Sensing that something was out front, Jae-gyeong fired his arm-cannon first without bothering to look around. A familiar recoil rippled through his body, and the loud boom of the bullet exploding felt as though it slightly cleared his suffocating chest.

[Grrrrr…]

Just then, the target he had shot without even knowing what it was squirmed and raised its body.

Murder Tiger (S)

A tiger known as the king of the jungle. Moreover, it was a massive tiger monster with a body size that was easily five times that of a regular tiger.

It was alone, and it exuded a murderous intent that was on a completely different dimension from the other monsters. Everyone instantly recognized that this tiger was the boss monster of this dungeon.

The bullet Jae-gyeong fired seemed to have hit the Murder Tiger’s hindquarters, but unlike the loud sound it made, it appeared to have caused nothing more than a tiny scratch. Though they didn’t know for sure, since it was a boss monster, its fur and hide were bound to be tougher than steel.

“Wow, it pops out so suddenly like this? The boss? Crazy…”

Ri-na grumbled as she generated ten arrows out of magical energy.

“Still, the end is in sight. Good job, Mr. Jae-gyeong.”

Hee-ro spoke as he drew a long spear made of water from his hand. He had by no means attacked knowing it was the boss monster, but Jae-gyeong quietly nodded his head as if it had been his intention all along.

Hee-ro leaped forward first to attack the Murder Tiger. Ye-jin also aimed her wand toward the Murder Tiger, and from behind, Ri-na’s ten arrows swarmed in all at once. Jeong-eon also dashed forward now.

“I’m going to continuously use area-of-effect heals from now on, so cover me.”

Da-sol’s voice could be heard speaking rapidly to Yi-hyeon.

“Yes!”

Da-sol and Yi-hyeon also ran toward the side where Jae-gyeong was located. To avoid crossing paths with Da-sol, Jae-gyeong quickly soared up into the sky.

To draw the Murder Tiger’s line of sight, he flapped his massive wings and fired his arm-cannon once more toward the space between the monster’s eyes.

Boom! An explosive sound rang out, and soon the Murder Tiger roared terrifyingly. However, there was not a single drop of blood on the monster’s face. Did it dodge? Or did it hit but make no impression? Jae-gyeong desperately hoped it was the former as he clutched the shield on his left arm and descended at full speed toward the Murder Tiger’s nape.

Swoosh, a sharp blade extended from the edge of the shield. He intended to first plunge and anchor the shield into the Murder Tiger’s body, and then fire his weapon once more flat against its hide.

It was right then.

“[Wide Heal]!”

From below, Da-sol utilized his area-of-effect heal skill, and at the same time, his heal reached and touched Jae-gyeong. Thump, thump, thump. Even though it wasn’t a one-on-one heal, his heart thundered violently the moment he received Da-sol’s heal.

[Roaaaaar!]

Acutely sensing the agitation in Jae-gyeong, who was plunging down toward it with folded wings, the Murder Tiger let out a roar that shook the entire jungle. It raised its massive, thick forepaw and struck Jae-gyeong hard, swatting him away.

“Mr. Jae-gyeong!”

“Hunter Jeong Jae-gyeong!”

“Gasp!”

With a single swipe of the Murder Tiger’s forepaw, Jae-gyeong was sent flying far away like a fly.
