Although Da-sol shouted toward Jae-gyeong, who was soaring high into the sky with his critically damaged body, he could not catch him. Da-sol spoke into the ring.

“Get down right now! I have to heal you, right now!”

I have to resolve it… It’s because of me that things turned out like this…

“What kind of bullshit is that! Get down, fuck.”

I was distracted by you, Mr. Da-sol… I will take responsibility and end this…

“What? Hey, Jeong Jae-gyeong!”

I’m not saying I’m going to die, so don’t worry… Haha…

The sound of Jae-gyeong, who had begun to look like a dot high up in the sky, faintly laughing ringing right in his ears was something that drove him crazier than expected.

Jae-gyeong extended his right arm and aimed his arm-cannon toward the prone Murder Tiger. Simultaneously, he fired his weapon as he plummeted toward the ground just like before.

Thud!!

With a dull explosive sound, the Murder Tiger’s body blew apart. The bullet had accurately entered its open maw and exploded inside its internal organs. The internal explosion synergized with Hee-ro’s water net, which had been constricting the monster to burst its outer hide, and the boss monster ended up being dismantled into pieces just like that.

Da-sol, who was near the Murder Tiger, curled up while covering his body as much as possible with his shield. However, due to the aftermath of the explosion, Da-sol was also sent flying wildly. Feeling himself floating high up into the sky before falling, he squeezed his eyes shut.

And bang! His body slammed hard onto the ground. Squeezing his eyes shut, Da-sol anticipated immense pain and prepared to self-heal. But something was strange. He didn’t feel any pain whatsoever.

‘What is this? Did I just straight up die?’

Da-sol opened his eyes. Thinking that perhaps he had experienced an out-of-body separation and was looking down at himself lying dead on the floor, or that it might be a situation like that.

But Da-sol wasn’t dead. He immediately fumbled around his own body, checking his skull, ribs, spine, and hips. Fortunately, there wasn’t a single place where a bone was broken…

Then, he discovered that his hands and arms were scratched and bleeding.

‘But why… doesn’t it hurt?’

Da-sol was blankly staring at his wounds when he suddenly snapped his head up. Near the remnants of the Murder Tiger, he saw the blood-soaked angel collapsed on the ground.

“That crazy bastard…”

Only then did Da-sol understand everything. Jae-gyeong had not only thrown his body to deliver the final attack to the Murder Tiger, but he had simultaneously used his other skill as well.

‘This skill allows me to feel the pain of the wounds you all receive in your place.’

Was it called the Spear of Protection? That skill that takes away the pain of other team members.

“Jeong Jae-gyeong!!”

Da-sol stood up and began to run toward Jae-gyeong. Behind him, the exit of the jungle dungeon finally opened up.

***

“Originally, Mr. Jeong-eon and I always delivered the final blow, so I should have explained that part to you. I’m sorry, Mr. Jae-gyeong.”

“Ah, n-no…, not at all… I simply thought that telling it to open its mouth was a word-power command linked with a follow-up attack… I am the one who is sorry for attacking recklessly without thinking things through…”

“Why are you apologizing? It makes me upset.”

“No… it is only right that I apologize… Actually…”

Jae-gyeong spoke hesitantly.

“Firing the arm-cannon at the boss monster at the very beginning wasn’t intentional… it was a mistake… If it hadn’t been for my mistake, we could have attacked more strategically…”

He confessed with his head hanging low. Sitting in the seat of honor on the sofa in the Guild Master’s office, Hee-ro listened to that confession with a slightly stiffened face.

The one who sustained the greatest damage in the jungle dungeon was Jae-gyeong. However, thanks to Da-sol immediately pouring heals over Jae-gyeong and jamming potions down his throat straight from the bottle, he was able to recover about 70% before being transported to the hospital.

This time, there was no need for hospitalization. Thanks to Da-sol providing such excellent heals, major medical procedures weren’t required.

Because Jae-gyeong had used the skill to take away everyone else’s pain at the very end, Ri-na—who had skipped hospital treatment without even realizing her own condition was serious—and Da-sol, who had suddenly poured out a storm-like amount of heals, ended up being hospitalized for a few days instead.

Hee-ro completed the interview regarding the jungle dungeon raid strategy, and the team members entered their respective periods of recovery and rest. Yi-hyeon said he needed to build up his physical stamina more through this opportunity and was practically living at the gym.

While Da-sol was hospitalized, Jae-gyeong went to the hospital every day, but his visits were rejected every single time. It was said that the moment Da-sol even heard Jae-gyeong’s name, he would foam at the mouth from sheer fury. The medical staff went so far as to issue a visitation ban on Jae-gyeong for Da-sol’s psychological stability.

A few days later, Jae-gyeong knocked on the door of the Guild Master’s office. And right in front of Jae-gyeong and Hee-ro, who were having this conversation, a letter of resignation was neatly laid out.

With a troubled expression, Hee-ro stared down at the resignation letter sitting on the table. Because he, who always spun words so eloquently, wasn’t saying anything at all, Jae-gyeong grew incredibly anxious instead.
