“Otherwise, we might get flagged by the Ministry of Labor.”

It was not as if Ian had any intention of grinding people down to that extent. Shaking his head, he turned his eyes toward the tablet in front of him. It displayed the B grade Gate where the newly appointed priests had been dispatched.

The Forest of Frost.

A video of that location was unfolding right before his eyes.

Standing in front of the flickering blue Gate, Kang Tae-su, a team leader from the Phoenix Guild, showed a good natured smile to the five priests lined up behind him.

“Now then, even if this is a real battle, there is no need for everyone to be so stiff. Our Phoenix Guild’s tankers and damage dealers will take care of sweeping away any monsters that jump out from the front. You priests just need to follow the safe path we clear in the rear. You do not have to force yourself to participate in combat.”

Tae-su implicitly thought of the priests as flowers in a greenhouse. Even though his Guild Master was close with Ian of the Order of Regnasia , considering the Order’s current influence, he felt this was the right way to act.

The badges were creating a massive sensation, and he could not afford to get on Ian’s bad side for no reason. For that reason, his attitude toward the priests was naturally cautious.

‘The Guild Master gave me strict instructions as well.’

If even one of these priests returned injured from this Gate, there was no telling what kind of terrible nagging he would have to endure from the Guild Master, Hong Seo-yun.

“We have also received training. We will not be a burden,” Park Dong-ho, who stood at the front, replied with a serious face. However, Tae-su lightly waved his hand.

“Oh, who said anything about a burden? I just mean that if blood splatters or if things look dangerous, do not hesitate to immediately retreat to the rear. Stay safe. Instead, please treat us if we get hurt.”

In the perception of most awakened individuals, a healer was originally that kind of existence. Someone who stayed in the rear, treated people safely, and applied buffs.

However, it did not take long for those shallow prejudices to be shattered into pieces.

“Monster spotted, two hundred meters ahead! Everyone, prepare for battle!”

As soon as they entered the mid section of the Forest of Frost, the scout awakened individual shouted urgently.

Hardly had the warning ended when the shadows of the forest, covered in bone white frost, flickered grotesquely, and white monsters lunged out. They were Yetis , monsters that primarily appeared in cold weather Gates. With physiques exceeding two meters, thick hides, and dense fur, attacks did not land well on them.

Furthermore, there was more than just one Yeti.

“Raise shields! Tankers, move to the front to secure the line of sight! Damage dealers, scatter to the left and right!”

Along with Tae-su’s swift orders, the Phoenix hunters drew their weapons and formed a formation in perfect order.

However, even before the hunters could cast their skills toward the demonic beasts, there were those who kicked off the ground and lunged forward much faster than them.

“I shall judge you in the name of the Goddess!”

The one who took the lead was none other than Park Dong-ho.

What he held in his hand was not some light wooden staff commonly held by mages. He wielded a heavy, massive mace type blunt weapon forged by the Order with a special metal blend.

Originally, Ian had wanted to give them bladed weapons, but Vermouth had said that blunt weapons would be better for those who still lacked skill. One only needed to swing them with strength. Of course, gaps would be created in that process, but a priest usually did not travel alone.

As Dong-ho twisted his waist sharply and swung the mace, the dazzling white light slumbering within his body wrapped around the end of the weapon like an explosion. That trajectory of brilliant light struck the thick chest of the leading Yeti without fail.

*Crack!*

It was not a simple impact sound of bone and flesh being crushed.

*Kroaaaar!*

The tough skin caved in under the mace, which had been strengthened with the help of divine power.

“W—what the hell? What was that just now?”

Tae-su and the hunters gaped with blank faces at that overwhelming destructive power.

But the performance of the priests did not end there. Following behind, Kim Cheol-su, who was positioned in the rear, gathered his hands and began to offer an earnest prayer.

“O brilliant light that clears away the darkness, dwell within their blades and punish the abyss.”

As soon as Cheol-su’s prayer ended, countless silver particles fluttered through the air like snow, seeping warmly into the weapons of the Phoenix guild members preparing for battle.
