The Villain’s Aide Has Run Away - Chapter 79.1
The order that came out of his mouth was completely unexpected. The Prince, not Blue?
Confusion surged over him like a wave.
For a brief moment, his startled emotions showed on his face, but the sound of the wind quickly hid them.
He suddenly remembered the time he had brought Lady Miroi before.
That had not been easy either. He knew better than anyone how deeply it could wound a person to be taken against their will.
“Leslun.”
Kailos’s low voice cut through his thoughts.
“There is no need to take it so seriously. If he refuses, just report it as it is.”
That kind and straightforward sincerity slowly melted the frost around Leslun’s heart. His chest felt soft.
“If you bring him, you will receive a reward worthy of it.”
It seemed Kailos deliberately did not say what that reward would be.
“Next time, I would like you to think about me.”
Kailos turned away. Leslun stood there, watching until Kailos’s back completely disappeared from sight.
When he looked around again, he found himself already standing in front of his quarters.

He decided to keep things simple.
There was no need to assign unnecessary meaning or conflict. All he had to do was fulfill the task given. Go to Prince Cassian and deliver the Crown Prince’s order. If the Prince refused, that was the end of it. He would just return as he came.
Leslun calmly delivered Kailos’s command, and the reply came much faster than expected.
“I’ll go!”
Prince Cassian’s answer burst out without a trace of hesitation. Leslun blinked in surprise.
For a moment, he was at a loss for words. He had been preparing himself to politely persuade the Prince and carefully explain Kailos’s intentions, but his expectations had been overturned.
Even Prince Cassian himself seemed to realize his answer had come too quickly. His eyes darted for a moment, and his face flushed red.
“Ahem, it is rather unexpected that my brother wishes to see me.”
The way he brought a small fist to his lips to clear his throat made him look as though he was trying to imitate an adult. His little fist did not even touch the corner of his lips, which only made him seem all the more endearing.
His expression and gestures betrayed an unhidden boyishness rather than any air of maturity.
“I have no proper reason to refuse, so I shall go. Lead the way.”
He did not even ask when or where. The way he straightened his clothes made it seem as though he was already prepared to follow.
“Please follow me.”
Leslun nodded almost absentmindedly.
The task was much easier than he had thought.

The place where Leslun brought Prince Cassian was the Imperial Gardens.
The garden was in full bloom with flowers of every color, releasing a soft fragrance, and the artificial waterfall fell with majestic force.
Kailos was in the exact same spot as before. Leslun approached and bowed.
“I have brought him.”
Kailos lowered the cup from his lips slightly and turned his head to look at the Prince. That unhurried gaze had such presence that it instantly weighed down the air.
Prince Cassian, who had been so eager when he said he would go see his brother, began hesitating the moment he stepped into the garden.
He carefully clasped his fingertips together and lowered his head slightly, glancing up at his brother.
“Brother, you called for me.”
Kailos gave a short reply.
“Sit.”
Instead of answering, Cassian instinctively turned his head first.
The place his gaze naturally landed was not on a maid attending the garden, but on Leslun standing nearby.
It had not been intentional, but it was clear where his heart was drawn.
Leslun quietly approached, reached for the chair, and with practiced, polite ease, pulled it back.
Just as Cassian was about to sit, Leslun gently pushed it forward so that he could settle in.
Once the Prince was seated, an intricately crafted teacup was carefully set before him.
Just as the maid stepped forward with the teapot to pour tea, Kailos set his own cup down on the table with a sharp clink.
Even that small sound seemed to cut through the air of the garden.
Startled, the maid froze. Without so much as a glance, Kailos spoke.
“Bring milk.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
The maid bowed and stepped back. Before long, a glass of milk in a translucent cup was brought.
As the maid carefully placed the glass down, Kailos tilted his chin slightly to indicate it.
