The Villain’s Recipe - Chapter 21.2
“Are you still keeping the curtains drawn?”
The uninvited intruder ripped the blackout curtains wide open and approached Woo Eun-yul.
“Mold is going to grow. Hmm? Did you cry? Why are you crying?”
Min-ha scanned the room with sharp eyes. Then, discovering a finger-sized centipede clinging to the wall, he shifted his gaze toward Woo Eun-yul.
Could it be…That thing?
Woo Eun-yul timidly nodded his head. At that, Min-ha unhesitatingly pulled out some tissue, picked up the centipede just like that, and threw it right out the window. How could a person be so brave? He raised his hands and applauded without realizing it.
“This much is nothing.”
Min-ha humbly declined Woo Eun-yul’s praise and thrust his hand straight into the blankets.
“Aack!”
It felt far too awkward to calmly hold hands. The touch of a person’s hand after such a long time was exceedingly soft and small. On top of that, the other person was a guide. Some clumsy warmth permeated his body.
However, they said the other person was Baek Seok-gyol’s guide. Woo Eun-yul quickly pulled his hand back and stepped down from the bed. Even while doing so, he did not let go of the blanket, and thin, withered ankles protruded from beneath it. Watching him, Min-ha tilted his head as if he found it puzzling.
Woo Eun-yul was someone who feared many things in the world, but among them, there was someone he dreaded in particular.
Baek Seok-gyol, their leader.
“Are you going to eat here?”
Woo Eun-yul shook his head vigorously from side to side. Min-ha would surely watch to make sure he ate everything, and if that happened, the two of them would be left alone in the room. Even if he kept the door open to prove his innocence, there was no telling how Baek Seok-gyol might react. He humbly accepted his position as a defeated person.
“I, I’ll go to the dining room.”
“Great! Come quickly.”
Leaving those words behind, Min-ha vanished like the wind. Only then did Woo Eun-yul stroke his chest and let out a deep breath. He really didn’t want to step out of his room, but there was no other way if he wanted to survive.
ZERO’s reclusive shut-in, the clairvoyant Woo Eun-yul. Today as well, he headed to the dining room to stay alive.
Unlike before, the dining room was bustling. Among them, the trio that had recently returned from a mission were also mixed in.
“I like jjajang fried rice!”
Today’s lunch was jjajang sauce and fried rice. Min-ha had made it at Ryu Ji-yeon’s request, and Seong Mi-na had piled it onto a tray like a mountain.
“Mi-na. That is not a plate.”
“Eh?”
“It’s a tray.”
“Who cares! But seriously, what is going on? Canned goods were always piled up full. Is this the handiwork of the newly arrived guide this time? Is his hobby cooking? Is it okay to eat before the leader?”
“Noona, calm down. When have we ever waited for the leader’s mealtime?”
“Ah, that’s true!”
Seong Mi-na laughed heartily and picked up her spoon. After taking a spoonful, she expressed her admiration.
“Delicious!”
It was the taste of society she used to eat whenever she went out on external missions. She got excited and cleared her food completely clean. She had been so immersed in the food that she hadn’t even noticed the person newly entering the dining room. The one who spotted him was Seorang, who was eating slowly right beside her.
“Eun-yul hyung?”
Eun-yul, who used to hole up in his room while barely eating, walked over sluggishly and sat down. He was still wrapped in his comfort blanket, but just coming out into the open was a big deal. Sitting down like a withered spinach leaf, a meal was placed in front of Woo Eun-yul as well. Unlike the others, his menu was porridge.
“I don’t want to eat.”
Muttering gloomily, Woo Eun-yul slowly began to eat his porridge.
‘Things have changed a lot, haven’t they?’
Seorang blinked and looked around. The newly arrived guide, Min-ha, was standing in the kitchen. Right beside him, Baek Seok-gyol was standing and whispering something to him.
“No way!”
Whatever was whispered, Min-ha shouted out with a face turned bright red immediately after.
“Why? It’s mine.”
With those words, Baek Seok-gyol lifted up something messy and rag-like.
