Transmigrated as the Side Top used as an Emotional Trash Can - Chapter 25.2
“Huhk! Guys!”
I brushed the shattered debris off their heads and swept the sharp-looking pieces away to the side. I felt a slight sting, but that wasn’t particularly important.
“Are you hurt? Are you okay?”
Seriously, what was I supposed to do with these troublemakers?
“You fucking bastard, you’ve been acting like shit ever since I first saw you…!”
Kim Jihwan snapped irritably, then abruptly stopped speaking.
“Oh no….”
A red line slowly appeared across Cha Gwonhyeok’s arm, and droplets of blood began to well up.
Cha Gwonhyeok had ended up bleeding.
“Ugh, urp….”
The sight of blood beading on Cha Gwonhyeok’s forearm before streaming down seemed to make Kim Jihwan suddenly nauseous, and he dry-heaved. I was about to stand and pat Kim Jihwan’s back when I saw Cha Gwonhyeok’s hand trembling and his face going pale with panic. I grabbed his arm and took him to the bathroom.
Shwaaaa-.
“I’m sorry.”
Cha Gwonhyeok apologized dejectedly.
“It’s okay. It’s not something you need to apologize for.”
I answered reassuringly, but the brows that always looked bold and confident had drooped into a sad 八 shape and showed no sign of lifting. Seeing him like that reminded me that he was still a high school student after all.
“Should we go to the hospital? Should I call 119?”
“I don’t think it’s a deep cut, so I’ll see how it goes.”
As I rinsed it over the sink, it really did look large more than severe. Neither the amount of bleeding nor the way the wound had opened seemed particularly serious.
“Do you have a first-aid kit?”
“It should be in the storage room.”
“Just tell me where it is. I’ll go get it.”
I thought I needed to rinse it quickly and disinfect it properly. Seeing even a scratch on Kim Jihwan’s future husband made my heart feel as though it were being torn to shreds. I had wanted to raise him in pristine condition….
“Are the plates okay? Should I say I broke them?”
Once the thought occurred to me, I became worried that Cha Gwonhyeok might get scolded by the adults because of whatever difficult family circumstances obsessive main tops always had. Even if his arm had been scratched, I wanted to keep his heart from being scratched too.
“You’re bleeding.”
Cha Gwonhyeok suddenly grabbed the hand I had been waving around as I spoke without pause. Only then did I realize that I had been panicking too. I had wondered why blood kept appearing in the sink no matter how much I rinsed his arm, but it turned out my hand was bleeding too. No wonder it had been stinging.
“Sorry, but I’m going to get this towel dirty.”
Now that I had been injured like this, I started wondering whether Kim Jihwan was okay. I wrapped the white towel hanging from the rack around my hand and ran back to Kim Jihwan. He stood frozen in the wrecked living room, staring down in horror at the shattered pieces of plate. I took his hand, led him to the sofa, and sat him down. Then I sat beside him and examined his complexion as he lowered his head.
“Jihwan, are you okay? Should we go home?”
Kim Jihwan’s face was pale when he looked up, and the hand I held was cold. He had indigestion. He must have been uncomfortable after coming to this house. Because of my selfishness, I hadn’t even let him eat in peace.
“I’m sorry. Let’s go home. Okay? Let’s go home and rest….”
“…Treat yourself first.”
Kim Jihwan pressed one finger firmly against my forehead and gave me a look that said, ‘Worry about yourself.’ Relieved that his clean body seemed merely startled and didn’t have a single scratch, I stood and headed toward the storage room.
“Wow, even the storage room in this house is….”
It was called a storage room, but everything had been neatly organized in rows, making it look more like a shop. It also seemed to be used as a rest area for the household staff, because there was a small table and chairs, as well as some belongings that appeared to belong to the housekeeper who had prepared our meal.
“…Huh, a doll?”
While I was about to take out the first-aid kit, the keychain on the housekeeper’s bag caught my eye.
“Aha, there weren’t any dolls inside the house, so one of the outsider’s belongings must’ve had one.”
Only then did it occur to me that Cha Gwonhyeok saying there were no dolls in the house might actually have been a hint for the game.
A patchwork animal doll made from several different pieces of fabric was lying facedown. When I turned it over, I saw that its stomach had been sewn shut with red thread.
“Are those grains of rice inside?”
Got you, you bastard.
The cursed doll I had been searching for was right here. I poured the alcohol solution from the first-aid kit over the doll and shouted ‘I won’ three times.

“Hm?”
A system update? Did that mean the novel world I existed in was an incomplete system undergoing maintenance?
“Hmm…. Should I choose it?”
My hesitation was brief.
