I recalled the previous ‘Zombie Apocalypse.’ I needed Kim Jihwan for the Affection Level to increase, but he was currently in Boracay. He still had another week before he returned to Korea, so what was I supposed to do?

“This is seriously too much….”

The entire universe had to be going out of its way to screw me over. Otherwise, how could one shitty thing after another happen so perfectly….

“…Are you sick?”

Unable to leave because my pathetic figure crawling around on the ground in despair seemed to bother him, the other person crouched down and met my gaze. I stared at him for a moment, then noticed the system window floating behind him and made another stupid sound in surprise.

“Eh?”

“?”

He frowned and turned to look in the direction I was staring. Then he muttered in a displeased tone.

“What are you looking at….”

So other people really couldn’t see anything. He merely tilted his head. Then, just as he was about to look back at me-.

“-Ugh…?!”

His knees abruptly gave way beneath him, and he curled up on the ground. His huddled body trembled in small spasms. He only let out suppressed groans as though he were dry-heaving. But I couldn’t spare the attention to take care of him.

Because….

Omegaverse

…the world setting that had appeared this time was completely insane.

Is this thing seriously crazy?

“Haa, ha, just hold on a little longer…!”

The Omegaverse was one thing, but I couldn’t simply leave someone who had collapsed there, so I hoisted him over my shoulder and ran to a hospital.

The cold sweat pouring from his burning body soaked through even my clothes.

“The hospital… is no good…. I can’t go….”

Even as he gradually lost consciousness, he pleaded with me desperately.

“No, then what am I supposed to do…! Something terrible will happen at this rate!”

“Home… Take me home…. Home….”

As he wished, I took him to an old house in a poor hillside neighborhood and laid him down. The front door was so flimsy that it opened without a key when I applied just a little force.

“Why is this house so freezing…?”

I took a padded quilt out of the wardrobe and laid him beneath it. Then I sat down beside him. Once the situation had settled, I finally had room to think. So, this was an Omegaverse now?

“Huh…?”

As I sat still, information began flowing into my head. It was information about the ‘Omegaverse’ world setting.

As though this world had always been that way from the beginning, everything from my childhood to even the most trivial memories was being redesigned and altered to fit the Omegaverse.

“That’s a little creepy.”

Memory manipulation.

It was sending information directly through my brain. I felt like a brain in a vat.

“Still, it’s better than zombies.”

I examined the information flowing into my head. My secondary gender in this world was Beta. Then was Kim Jihwan an Omega?

A side top being a Beta…. What a shitty way to treat me.

“The main top is probably a dominant Alpha….”

It was obvious without even seeing him. That was the cliché. He probably had something the size of a child’s forearm hanging between his legs. Kim Jihwan would probably get pregnant, run away, or run away while pregnant.

This is driving me crazy. His life was already going to become miserable because of an obsessive lunatic of a main top, and now he had to get pregnant too?

“Haa….”

I sprawled out on the floor and looked at the owner of the house. Judging by the world setting, a pretty guy with such a slender, willowy body running a burning fever meant….

“A heat cycle?”

My chest stung with needless guilt because it seemed to be my fault.

“…Leave now.”

As I continued staring, the other person spoke. Was he worried that I might be an Alpha?

“Ah, I’m a Beta, so don’t worry about me.”

“Beta or not, fuck off….”

He growled lowly and remained wary of me. His vicious little temper made him exactly like Kim Jihwan #2.0. Mm, this familiar prickliness. It was the prickliness of people with pudding-soft hearts who would be hurt twice or three times as badly if you actually left or acted sick of them.

“I’m still your savior, you know. Aren’t you going to repay me?”

I deliberately pretended to be oblivious, staring at the ceiling and acting distracted. The other person scratched his throat and replied as though he didn’t even have the strength to get angry.

“Look at the state of this house… Haa, can’t you tell…?”

At his venomous words, I looked around the house. It was so dark that I couldn’t see much of anything, so I merely nodded vaguely. Irritated by my half-hearted response, he muttered, “Damn helmet head….” Those were his last words before he abruptly lost consciousness.

“Excuse me, if you feel like you’re about to turn into a zombie, you have to tell me, okay?”

It wasn’t something I should say in front of a sick person, but the system was far too insane to be trusted.

Day 3 of the Omegaverse.

The ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ had only changed the area within a two-hundred-meter radius of me. I wonder how far this ‘Omegaverse’ applies. Should I run a few tests?

“Jihwan-ah- How is Boracay?”

As a test, I video-called Kim Jihwan in Boracay. The video call screen showed nothing but a wall somewhere.

“Did you remember to bring your medicine?”

I had information about my own secondary gender, but there was no information in my head about Kim Jihwan’s secondary gender. I couldn’t tell whether Boracay, where Kim Jihwan was, remained unchanged or whether Kim Jihwan simply hadn’t revealed his secondary gender.

“People with secondary genders have to be careful with their pheromones….”

―Mind your own business and shut up.

Click.

The video call ended with Kim Jihwan’s cold reply. Apparently, in this world setting, openly asking someone about their secondary gender was considered rude.

“Judging by his reaction, it looks like Boracay has also changed into the Omegaverse setting.”

Kim Jihwan’s disgusted reaction had effectively confirmed it. Even when I searched for cases from various countries, the entire world accepted the Omegaverse as completely natural.

“This world setting covers a much larger area.”

Then what would happen if I died in this world setting?

Would I come back to life like I did in the ‘Zombie Apocalypse’?
