However, that adorable child, for whatever reason, was so frightened that he couldn’t meet his eyes properly, his gaze always averted, and his eyes, brimming with tears, were filled with anxiety.

“Um… Are you talking to me?”

As soon as his hoarse voice came out, the child suddenly started crying even harder.

“Huuu, sob, ngh, I-I’m sorry. It’s my fault, Master… P-please… Please don’t abandon me. Hic, please don’t abandon me!”

The child now even dropped to his knees, bowing deeply as if begging for his life. With tears streaming down his face the whole time he spoke in a muffled voice, he looked as though he carried all the sorrow in the world on his shoulders.

‘Seriously…’

What could be so sorrowful that he would cry like this in front of a stranger?

Moved by pity, Eunwoo unconsciously reached out his hand, but even as he cried, the child flinched in surprise and hurriedly shielded his head.
It was as if he was trying to block a hand about to strike him.

“Uh, ah, n-no, that’s not…”

As Eunwoo hastily withdrew his hand, the child only became more startled and pressed his forehead to the floor.

“Huu, sob. S-sorry, Master. You said I shouldn’t block it when being punished. I-I…”

Punished? Surely, he didn’t get hit by someone else, did he? Is that why he’s crying in front of me, hoping for help?

‘If that’s the case, I have to help.’

If he was being abused, there was no way Eunwoo could just stand by and watch.

In an instant, Eunwoo’s face grew serious, and just as he opened his mouth to say something, the gazes of those around him converged on him, and murmurs overlapped.

“Look over there. After saving someone on the brink of death, is he going to hit the child again?”

“Ugh, poor Pascius, having such a master. Why is that bastard the only healer around…”

At the clear voices, Eunwoo looked around.

The only child in sight was the one before his eyes, and those people were definitely looking at him.

‘No way… Are they talking about me?’

With a face full of doubt, Eunwoo looked at the people, and those who met his gaze quickly looked away, as if they’d seen a ghost.

“Um, so…”

Just as Eunwoo was about to say something, he saw his own reflection in a nearby mirror.

The hair that used to barely cover his nape had grown long enough to reach his waist, and the once plain brown hair now shone with a blue tint.
Even the black eyes were gone without a trace, replaced by clear blue eyes reminiscent of the sea.

“W-What is this…”

Flustered, Eunwoo opened his mouth and felt over his face. Just then, a sheet of paper lying on the blanket fluttered to the floor.

Sniffling, the child picked up the fallen paper and held it out to him.

“Ah, um, th-thank you…”

He accepted the paper reflexively and unfolded it. There, a familiar name was written.

[Cielo Esteban.
Sentenced to six months’ pay cut and three months in charge of the west tower for the crime of injuring the Imperial Crown Prince’s face.]

“…Cielo Esteban?”

Eunwoo muttered quietly, turning his head to look at the child. If his ears weren’t mistaken, the people had certainly called this child ‘Pascius.’

“No way… Oscar Pascius?”

“Huu, sob! Y-yes, Master. Here you are, my disciple…”

Oscar answered tearfully.

For a moment, Eunwoo’s lips trembled.

…It really seems I’ve been transmigrated.

* * *

At a friend’s recommendation that it was a trending series, Eunwoo had started reading a certain story out of habit.

The genre was BL, but since Eunwoo liked men anyway, the genre itself didn’t bother him at all.

The novel’s title was “All I Wanted Was To Be Loved””, a fantasy set in an omegaverse. As for the story, it was all about Oscar, who had been abused since childhood, meeting good people and gradually changing and growing.

The main top, Oscar, grew up abused from a young age. With low self-esteem and plenty of trauma, he struggled to escape his master’s grasp, eventually meeting the semes.

True to his role, Oscar overcomes the hardships laid before him and the various events that unfold in the world, and in the process, the master who tormented him, one of the villains, dies.

In other words…

‘That means I’m going to die?!’
