“I only did that because I thought I might be a distraction while you were working… I’ll contact you directly from now on, sir.”

“And I don’t get why you call me that, Eunwoo. You’re not even an employee of this company.”

“Then what should I call you? Taehyuk… sounds a bit too rude. Hyung?”

At the word hyung, Taehyuk’s body gave a small tremble. He looked like he was trying not to laugh.

“Don’t drink with other guys.”

“Hmm…”

“At least learn how to drink from me first. You kids drink like that and you never know what could happen. Don’t drink recklessly.”

As Taehyuk muttered under his breath, Eunwoo lowered his gaze slightly to look at him.

His head was bowed deeply, unable to meet Eunwoo’s eyes, and his ears were visibly red.

‘…Cute.’

He had always come across as a cold-faced workaholic. Eunwoo never imagined he had this side to him.

It occurred to Eunwoo that perhaps Taehyuk resembled who he used to be in his past life.

Someone who had to act according to his status as a duke’s son. Someone who had to uphold his image as a CEO. Someone who didn’t know how to express himself and ended up lashing out. And someone who now seemed to be repeating the same mistakes Eunwoo once made.

‘Maybe…’

‘If there’s a reason I fell into this world and met this man…’

‘Then maybe it was to help unbind the things that were restraining him.’

Perhaps he was meant to meet someone in the same situation he had once faced, so he could say the words he had once longed to hear.

“Let’s do that then.”

“…”

“I can’t promise I’ll never drink with anyone else again. But I’ll learn how to drink from you first.”

As his gentle voice flowed, Taehyuk slowly lifted his body. He no longer looked as fired up as he had just moments ago.

“Isn’t this too much kindness, Eunwoo?”

“Well, you’re not treating me poorly anymore, are you? So I’m just listening to what I can.”

Eunwoo shrugged lightly, adding that it didn’t mean he’d accept everything unconditionally.

“I want to lock you up.”

“…Sorry?”

“I want to tie you down so you can’t leave this house. I want to fall asleep next to you at night. And sometimes…”

He suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

Unsure how to put it into words, he slowly raised a hand and caressed Eunwoo’s cheek.

“…?”

As Eunwoo looked up at him, filled with confusion, the hand that had been caressing his cheek slowly slid down to the nape of his neck.

Startled, Eunwoo flinched, and in that instant, Taehyuk closed the distance and turned his head.

As their breaths brushed, Eunwoo swallowed hard. Taehyuk locked eyes with him and spoke.

“I want to do this too.”

“…!”

“If you don’t like it, push me away.”

“…”

“You can even come at me like you’re going to kill me.”

Right after he said that, Taehyuk pressed a kiss to Eunwoo’s lips, as if stamping a seal.

Despite his words that sounded like he’d force his way in, he gave Eunwoo plenty of time to push him away.

He looked rough and domineering, but he was actually a man more delicate than anyone else.

Even when he wanted to do something others might hate, he still sought permission through action.

Eunwoo let out a small, involuntary laugh and relaxed the tension in his jaw.

As his lips parted slightly, it created an opening for Taehyuk.

“…Ngh!”

As expected, Taehyuk didn’t miss that opportunity. He slipped his thick tongue inside Eunwoo’s mouth, the slickness of saliva and soft flesh rubbing together in the tight, dark space.

The sensation made Eunwoo curl his toes. Just the entangling of tongues sent a strange and sensual jolt through his entire body.

Without realizing it, his trembling hand clutched Taehyuk’s collar.

Who knew how long they exchanged breaths like that?

When he finally turned his head, short of breath, Taehyuk obediently pulled back.

“I want to kiss you again.”

Taehyuk watched Eunwoo’s flushed cheeks quietly, waiting for him to catch his breath.

Like someone ready to dive in and kiss him all over again.

“…Haa. You already did, though.”

Eunwoo replied between heavy breaths, and Taehyuk’s throat bobbed.

His kiss had clearly ignited something — Eunwoo’s eyes were now moist, his cheeks still red as he looked up at Taehyuk.

Taehyuk, jaw clenched, traced Eunwoo’s plump lower lip with a finger.

“I want to do it again.”

“…”

“And more. All of it.”

Whispering softly, Taehyuk wrapped his arms around Eunwoo’s waist and pulled him close.

Eunwoo’s eyes widened like saucers at the heat he felt from below.

“Looks like I’ve fallen harder for you than I thought, Eunwoo.”

“…”

“My heart’s been pounding like crazy, like I’ve lost all self-control.”

It wasn’t just a confused kiss out of uncertain feelings.

It was a message that he truly held these feelings.

And Taehyuk didn’t avoid Eunwoo’s wavering gaze as he continued.

“So let me.”

At that firm, commanding tone, Eunwoo’s brow twitched faintly.

Now that the heat of the kiss had somewhat cooled, Eunwoo let out a long breath.

Just as Taehyuk leaned in for another kiss, Eunwoo clamped both hands over his mouth.

“When you’re asking for permission, shouldn’t you say, ‘Can I?’ instead of ‘I will’?”

“…”

“At least, that’s how I was taught.”
