Don't You Need an Omega Lucky Charm - Chapter 20.1
After conversing a little more, he hung up the phone.
As the phone screen went black, the quiet returned to the room once again.
Now that the appointment had been set, his body felt as though it were growing heavy only now.
In his head, things were still entangled from Cha Jeongwon’s bad luck to his department’s practical training, financial worries, and the suite room but sleep possessed the power to make all those thoughts cease.
“Let’s just catch a quick nap before going out.”
His eyelids slowly lowered.

Inside the house that grew quiet after Ha-on disappeared:
Cha Jeongwon stared at the phone placed on the table while taking in the pheromones Ha-on had left behind.
All this time, Yoon Ha-on had consistently asserted one thing:
-
- ‘You keep asking similar questions. I do not like you, Senior.’
-
- ‘And just because I’m an Omega doesn’t mean all Omegas are the same.’
-
- ‘Even if your mother promises to give something, Senior, I’m not the kind of person who can just snap at it like that.’
His aggrieved face while asserting that he wasn’t like that seemed quite sincere.
If that was true, his feelings were understandable.
It was something to throw a fit over if he had merely bumped into him completely by coincidence while he was suspecting everything and in fact, Yoon Ha-on had thrown a fit.
Since he had suspected this much, wouldn’t it be fine to let it down now?
Until now, those who had approached him with a motive also took off their masks before long. They had never insisted continuously like Yoon Ha-on did; rather, as if they had nothing to hide since they had confessed, they hit on him more aggressively than before.
“No.”
Yoon Ha-on might have really made up his mind.
Though his appearance was soft, his pheromones were endlessly sweet. The more disarming a face is, the more vigilant one must be.
He stoked the embers of suspicion once again.
Cha Jeongwon lifted his phone and looked for a name. Connecting the call as it was, he narrowed his eyes and looked toward the bedroom.
Because Yoon Ha-on’s scent was still thick, his brow furrowed all on its own.
It would be troublesome if the scent remained even after ventilating.
[What’s got into you, hyung?]
The person answering the phone spoke in a considerably surprised voice.
“Tell me about Yoon Ha-on.”
[You dig in so out of context that I’m scared of myself for understanding it so perfectly. On-i hyung is…]
Even at the out-of-nowhere question, his younger cousin showed no sign of fluster.
Cha Seojun was the most suitable person to find out about Yoon Ha-on.
Since he also knew him well, he would also know what he was worrying about right now.
[Mmm… He’s not someone you need to worry about, hyung.]
Cha Jeongwon’s eyebrow twitched.
[On-i hyung is only interested in attending classes well and graduating. You probably share a lot of classes together, but there’s no need to approach him for no reason. He might even dislike you, hyung. Do you know why?]
For some reason, it sounded as if he were telling him not to get close since there was no need to get along with Yoon Ha-on.
[On-i hyung kept taking first place, but now that you’ve returned, hyung, imagine how much on guard he’d be.]
And yet I kept mistaking Yoon Ha-on for an Omega charm?
Listening to Cha Seojun’s words, the thought occurred that it might be true that Yoon Ha-on hadn’t approached to meet him, but had tried to avoid him instead.
On the other hand, the fact that he kept calling Yoon Ha-on “On-i hyung” was quite grating as well.
“Where are you? Let’s meet for a bit.”
[Why?]
Even at that question, Cha Jeongwon was recalling Yoon Ha-on’s face.
If it were true that he had misunderstood all this time, leaving it just like this felt uncomfortable.
Coincidentally, there was also something Yoon Ha-on wanted to have.
[I have to go meet On-i hyung, though? Oh right, did you hear that my maternal grandmother is coming?]
“Where are you going to meet him?”
Cha Jeongwon only asked what he wanted to know.

The restaurant was ambiguously uncrowded. Perhaps because it was after the lunch crowd had cleared out and before the dinner crowd rushed in, empty spots here and there caught his eye.
“Hey. This seat is pretty good, right?”
Kim Hyeongyu tapped the window-side table with his palm. Sunlight passed through the glass window and draped over the chair.
“It doesn’t necessarily have to be the window side…”
Ha-on muttered ambiguously before stopping himself.
What does it matter where I sit?
He pulled his chair and sat down.
Kim Hyeongyu, sitting across from him, scanned the menu.
“What should we order when Seojun comes?”
“Instant tteokbokki.”
“Of course we’ll order instant tteokbokki. I’m asking what side menu you’re going to order.”
Kim Hyeongyu grumbled as he turned the menu pages. Meanwhile, Ha-on stared out the window.
He tapped the edge of the table with his finger. The lightweight vibration peculiar to wooden tables transmitted through his fingertips.
He felt strange.
Cha Jeongwon.
Why was that name popping up? It wasn’t as if that person would show up, though.
It wasn’t near the university either; it was a restaurant Ha-on used to come to often when he worked at the art academy in the past.
There was no way Cha Jeongwon would come all the way here.
Even if there was no way, it was continuously strange, wasn’t it?
‘Why… Do I feel like I’m going to meet him?’
Have I finally gone mad? While Ha-on tilted his head, Kim Hyeongyu picked up his phone.
“Hmm? Hold on, I’m going to go take a call.”
