Don't You Need an Omega Lucky Charm - Chapter 30.1
“Senior, so you like sweet stuff.”
Though spoken like a joke, inside it was a rebuke asking why he hadn’t ordered a balanced variety.
“It’s just so-so.”
However, Cha Jeongwon’s answer was quite a spectacle.
“Then why did you order like this? Is there perhaps more coming? Is there nothing else? I heard ramen ordered at a hotel is insanely expensive, though…”
At this rate, he felt like he should eat it even if it were expensive.
Whether the endless questions were bothering him, Cha Jeongwon proffered a fork to Ha-on instead of replying.
“I ordered it for you to eat.”
Ha-on paused for a moment.
“I have to eat all of this by myself?”
He muttered while scanning the desserts lined up before his eyes once more. Thinking it was all his portion, the inside of his mouth was already sweet.
On top of that, what about a blood sugar spike?
Looking at Ha-on’s fed-up face, Cha Jeongwon asked.
“Don’t you like sweet things?”
“Do I like sweet things?”
“I thought so.”
Cha Jeongwon’s gaze scanned the table once and returned to Ha-on again. They were eyes where emotions weren’t easily revealed, but inside them, he looked like a person hiding some kind of clue.
A conversation continued where each other’s words couldn’t meet in one spot and only drifted on the surface.
Just what on earth is this sweets parade for?
Ha-on’s gaze hung onto him continuously as if urging him.
Did he see him buying and eating bread at the convenience store at school? Or did Kim Hyeon-gyu or Cha Seojun blabber uselessly?
“Pheromones.”
At the words Cha Jeongwon tossed out without adding any explanation this way or that, Ha-on blinked his eyes.
“Because my pheromones are sweet? Don’t tell me you’re saying you thought I liked sweet things because of that?”
Even after saying it himself, Ha-on laughed out of absurdity. Unable to hold it in, he shook his head side to side.
“No, then…”
Feeling dumbfounded, he let out a breath first.
“Is the pheromone gland that kind of honest spring where if you eat marshmallows, marshmallow pheromones come out, and if you eat kimchi stew, kimchi stew pheromones waft out like crazy?”
With an absurd heart, he kept talking.
“Then what about you, Senior? What on earth do you have to eat for your pheromones to come out? Do you eat stuff like dirt or trees? Or burnt wood?”
His pheromones were like a woody scent, but when thick, they grew closer to smoky wood. However, because it also gave off a bitter feeling of earthiness, it was difficult to express in just one word.
No, why am I even arguing over this?
While holding back laughter trying to come out, his voice went up slightly.
If he ordered sweet things because his pheromones were sweet, it meant he had exerted at least that much influence on this person.
“Still…”
Ha-on slyly snatched the fork from Cha Jeongwon and cracked the surface of the crème brûlée with a tap.
He scooped a little and put it into his mouth. Ugh, sweet.
It was sweet because it was sugar, his pheromones were sweet, and Cha Jeongwon cute behavior was sweet.
“It’s not bad.”
Because it was sweet, he missed kimchi stew all the more. Instead, Ha-on inhaled Cha Jeongwon’s pheromones.
While the sweet cream melted slowly over his tongue, the subtle, penetrating scent of the Alpha thickly filled inside Ha-on’s nose.

Having eaten to the point his tongue was sweet, a blood sugar spike came up.
His body drooped and his tension unwound. From a certain moment, Ha-on’s head leaned on the sofa backrest and began to subtly tilt toward his shoulder.
“Senior.”
“What now?”
“Lend me here for just a bit.”
While asking for permission with his mouth, his actions were already leaning on Cha Jeongwon as if the answer were set.
Cha Jeongwon let out a sound, unsure if it was a sigh or a breath once, and then left him alone.
A head rested on his shoulder. Scattered hair grazed Cha Jeongwon’s shoulder and arm. The gap between the two decreased a little more.
The pheromones grew darker.
It felt as if the Alpha’s scent moved along his pulse. Ha-on felt that as it was.
He really isn’t running away.
There were several times he could have refused, but Cha Jeongwon didn’t choose either side. That fact made Ha-on’s heart flutter strangely.
Ha-on leaned a little more against Cha Jeongwon. Now, the nape of his neck lightly touched his arm. Warmth spread between skin and cloth.
The noise coming out of Netflix grew distant. The air between the two began to flow at a subtly different speed.
