The leave of absence form I submitted immediately after helping with my classmate’s second manifestation.

The news that I was going home apparently spread throughout the entire main building in less than half a day.

This is what happens when the administrative officer has a loose tongue. Don’t they know anything about respecting privacy? Why are these people so interested in others’ personal affairs?

Because my sudden action reached my supervising professor’s ears, I was summoned.

“…Why on earth….”

Meeting my professor again in just half a day, she was busy scrutinizing my face, filled with concern, as if worried something might have happened.

“Lippey, did you experience any physical or mental abnormalities during the guiding process?”

“No, I’m fine.”

“Then, during Didier’s second manifestation, was there any insult or violence against you that ignored your will?”

“It wasn’t anything like that either. There’s nothing for you to worry about, Professor.”

“Then why… a leave of absence?”

It’s not like I acted impulsively, thoughtlessly caught up in the idea of ‘twisting the original story, I need to meet the male lead right away’.

Arranging a meeting between Acteon and Millia is certainly something I need to hurry with.

And to meet those two, who haven’t even entered the academy yet, the first priority is escaping from this hellish Estra Military Academy.

But more than anything….

“I just want to see my younger brother.”

“Uh, what?”

“My younger brother has been living alone ever since it was found out that I had manifestation potential.”

“I… I see. You’re worried about your brother, then?”

“It’s just that we’re all the family we have, so I’m all the more concerned.”

The professor was silent for a moment, then nodded as if she understood. I could clearly see what she was thinking.

Twenty years old.

Assuming you’ve undergone the first manifestation, this is the minimum age at which you can enter this academy.

Since I awakened as a B-Class—which isn’t bad for a Guide—Hyacine also has the possibility of manifesting. There’s no way they would overlook a chance to possibly bring Hyacine in as well.

But she wasn’t the kind of person who would openly state such calculations.

Although their job is to train cadets and throw them onto the battlefield, the tiny bit of conscience they have left makes them reluctant to mention it directly.

So, to make use of her meager conscience, I laid out the groundwork appropriately.

“Besides, once I graduate, I’ll be immediately assigned and have to live at my post.”

As expected, the professor didn’t refuse my naturally presented request.

“Oh, now I see what you’re getting at. You want to spend some time with your only family before then, right?”

I smiled softly and didn’t bother to explain further.

I may have proactively submitted the leave of absence to change the original story, but.

‘The most urgent problem right now isn’t Acteon.’

The reason for making such an extreme decision is, above all else, because of my younger brother, Hyacine.

Hyacine.

Hyacine Ortis.

In the original story, this kid is the villain, who loses both parents to war, but is able to grow up under the sponsorship of a noble family thanks to his older sister, who became a cadet at the academy.

If you have a Manifester in your family, it greatly increases the likelihood that the rest of the family will manifest as well.

Those with high manifestation potential receive sponsorship from noble families as part of national policy.

And once they manifest, they are preemptively placed under state management. They’d be assigned to the academy, the royal family, or other state agencies under the pretense of ‘management’.

That’s right.

This is a system where the country offers support in order to monitor and secure newly emerging candidates in advance.

They call it ‘noble family sponsorship’, but in reality, it’s about making the nobles tame these potential Manifesters ahead of time, putting them on a leash.

Using the family member who manifested first as a pretext, essentially as a hostage.

‘So much for respecting human rights. I swear I’ll change all of this one day.’

In this system, my sibling Hyacine, thanks to the extra Liliope Ortis from the original story—in other words, me—ended up under the care of a noble family….

‘But the original Liliope didn’t know. She had no idea that noble family abused Hyacine, who hadn’t manifested yet, treating him like worthless trash. Not even up to the moment she died.’

That support was never a good thing for Hyacine.

In these times, when the appearance of Transcendents and Guides has only escalated wars between nations, it’s impossible to carefully oversee all the potential Manifesters, no matter how much effort is made.

On the contrary, in this climate—where all attention is on Transcendents, Guides, and war—various crimes flourished.
