How the Villainous Consort Avoids His Death Ending - Chapter 11.1
Tristan hurriedly supported my back. I had lost strength in his arms more times than I could count. His face flickered beyond my blurry vision. Maybe it was just my imagination, but he almost seemed worried about me. Just a little.
“I’m fine. There’s no problem.”
Fortunately, I managed to steady my breathing and regain my senses. When I blinked slowly, my vision refocused. Tristan was staring at me intently with a stiff expression, his lips pressed tightly together.
After a moment, he turned his gaze to the attendants.
Butler Wilhelm still looked doubtful, though he no longer voiced his objections. The knights, their faces clouded with distrust, kept their mouths shut. Only the nanny shook her head in distress.
“Your Grace, please, do not do this to His Highness the Consort…”
Tristan, however, gave a firm order.
“Give the Crown Prince’s son the antidote.”
“Your Grace!”
The nanny cried out, but Tristan did not withdraw his command. Constantine hesitated, his wide eyes flickering with unease as he looked at the vial handed to him.
I placed a hand on the boy’s small shoulder. He flinched and looked up at me. Our gazes met briefly in the air.
“…Understood, Uncle.”
Constantine finally answered quietly. His voice was calm, far too composed for his age.
The red liquid touched his soft lips. The air in the bedroom froze. Everything fell silent, as if the world itself had gone still.
Then, a dizzy spell hit me, followed by a wave of nausea. At the same time, a searing heat flared deep in my abdomen. My body convulsed uncontrollably in Tristan’s arms.
“Ugh… ughh…!”
“Consort!”
All eyes turned to me. The nanny, pale-faced, shot to her feet and pointed a trembling finger in my direction.
“You see, Your Grace! The Consort tampered with the antidote! He’s an adult, so the reaction is mild, but the young master will suffer terribly!”
“Silence, Nanny.”
Tristan’s rough voice cut through the air. My mind was spinning so badly that their voices blurred together. Letters flashed before my eyes—messages from the System.
[☆ Sudden Event Occurred! ☆]
Verifying event name.

‘Hey, System. I’m dying here. What’s happening…?’
Verifying! Retrying (2/10).
‘I don’t care about the event name! Just tell me what’s going on!’
Tears streamed down my face from the pain. As I shouted inwardly at the System, a spinning hourglass appeared before my eyes.
Your health is rapidly decreasing.
‘What?’
What was my HP again? Not even ten, I think. What happens when it drops below that?
At this rate, it was only a matter of time before it hit zero. I had to check.

This was bad.
Tears welled up again as I struggled to open my eyes. A powerful toxin—it really was the antidote.
I didn’t know what “abnormal status” meant, but if Constantine ended up like me, it would be a disaster. My mind was spinning, but I forced myself to shout inwardly at the System.
