“Please move aside.”

Noah grabbed the wrist of Aiden, whose hand was clenched into a fist, and shook his head.

“An omega?”

“Oh! An omega? No, why would an omega be at a monastery? Just spread your legs for an old alpha and you’d live comfortably your whole life.”

They grinned slyly and wrapped their arms around Noah’s shoulders. At that, Aiden, who could no longer hold back, shoved one of the thugs who had his arm around Noah’s shoulder hard and shouted loudly.

“Who are you people?”

“Ah, shit! What’s this tiny little prick?”

The thugs surrounded Aiden in a threatening stance. It was the moment one of them grabbed Aiden’s shoulder and was about to punch him in the face. Aiden lifted one of the thugs high and slammed him down onto the hard ground.

“You bastard!”

The thugs grabbed the young boy, who carried no weapon, firmly from both sides and struck him in the solar plexus.

“Help! Somebody help!”

Noah, startled, tried to run to Aiden, but he was caught by the thugs’ hands and couldn’t move at all. It was then that Tommy, who was inside the shop, and Carno and the knights, who had spotted them from afar. They could be seen dashing over at full speed. When the thugs noticed, they hastily began to flee.

“Aiden, Aiden!”

Noah, startled, ran to Aiden, but Aiden, his anger still unsubsided, began chasing after the thugs fleeing far away. And then he finally caught one and began beating him.

“Don’t, Aiden!”

Noah hurriedly followed and began trying to stop Aiden. Aiden’s arms were firmly held by Carno and Tommy, and he kept huffing even after standing up. His anger still hadn’t subsided. The thug who had been beaten to a pulp by Aiden barely managed to get to his feet and fled far away.

“Why on earth are you stopping me?”

“Aiden!”

Noah glared fiercely at the huffing Aiden and pressed him. Only then did Aiden, looking very wronged, let out a sulky complaint.

“Fine, I get it.”

“Aiden, violence is always bad.”

“But still…”

“If you use violence, what makes you any different from those thugs?”

“……”

Aiden felt a little wronged by Noah’s scolding. As Aiden’s huffing breath calmed down and Noah’s anger subsided somewhat, Tommy, observing the mood, stepped between the two of them.

“Now, now! Let’s head back to the monastery.”

“…Yes.”

When Aiden reluctantly answered, Tommy wrapped his arms around both of their shoulders and walked toward the carriage at the edge of the village. When they reached the carriage in the awkward atmosphere, Tommy quickly checked the cargo hold and shouted loudly.

“Alright! I’ve checked whether anything’s missing, and I’ve loaded everything we bought today onto the carriage, so let’s set off now.”

Carno patted Aiden’s shoulder and pointed to the horse he had ridden in on. Aiden climbed onto the horse with a gloomy face. Noah had always given Aiden unconditional encouragement for whatever he did. But even when there was a justifiable reason like this time, Noah would get angry without mercy whenever Aiden showed violence. Aiden found that side of Noah a little resentful.

“Haa…”

The carriage set off, and Aiden rode his horse pressed close beside the carriage.

“Aiden.”

“Y-yeah! Noah.”

Noah’s anger eased a little, so opened the window and spoke to Aiden. Aiden, unable to hide his delight, quickly answered Noah’s call.

“Sorry for getting angry.”

“I’m sorry too. Noah was in danger. So I guess I lost my reason too.”

“So will you do it again?”

“Hmm… honestly, I don’t know that myself.”

Aiden’s stubbornness was remarkable too. Noah let out a small laugh at Aiden, who would never say he wouldn’t do it again even if it killed him. At Noah’s appearance, which seemed to have cooled down, a faint smile spread across Aiden’s lips.

“But Noah.”

“Yeah.”

“What’s an omega?”
