It was an ability bordering on a divine miracle, forcibly binding fractured bones using mana and dramatically activating cells to completely heal them all at once.

However, since this ability required extreme concentration, it could not be used in a state of suffering from a high fever. Even though Lee Sunho’s ability was being fully exerted, the haze and sluggish thought processes caused by the sensation of fever could not be helped.

I quickly skimmed down the two guides filling into my head and established the theory. The vast amount of information stimulated my brain, but with the high fever gone and my mind clear, it was at a level I could fully digest.

‘Come to think of it, current Awakeners only use mana in ways that serve their own abilities.’

They were obsessed merely with spewing firepower or visible destructive power, while the very concept of reconstructing their own bodies with mana to administer emergency treatment or restore bone and flesh was rare. Even though someone had attempted it before.

Perhaps it was natural.

Because the only one who had achieved complete body reconstruction using mana was my single apostle.

‘Since that apostle has been missing ever since right after the holy war, the method must not have been passed down.’

Making a bitter expression as I recalled my missed apostle whose face I could not even remember, I soon pulled myself together.

For now, ‘restoring’ these two hands that had given me such a headache came first.

Roughly gauging the complexity of the theory, I felt my Adaptation skill exerting itself sufficiently and closed my eyes.

In the darkness, it felt as though the skeletal layout of both my hands was drawn right before my eyes in vivid, solid lines. That was how extremely acute my senses had become.

I bound every single shattered bone segment with threads of mana. Into the gaps, I applied a layer of mana-wrapped cells like glue, and then perfectly aligned and joined the previously bound bones without any displacement.

Crack, crunch.

From inside the bandages reinforced with splints, a spine-chilling friction sound rang out as bones wedged themselves into their proper places. Normally, one would have to endure excruciating agony because of that, but to me, accompanied by Lee Sunho’s pain control ability, that sensation was merely at a tingling level.

In the first place, without Lee Sunho’s ability, I would not have been able to maintain concentration due to the extreme pain, so I would not have even been able to attempt it.

Truly, long live Lee Sunho.

Praising Lee Sunho internally, I carefully set my hand bones one after another with continuous crunch, crack sounds.

—Eek… The sound is so scary…

Me too.

Agreeing with Echo’s murmur, I focused on perfectly aligning and securing the bones in both hands.

Did about ten minutes pass?

Opening my eyes, I felt the throbbing pain in both hands disappear completely.

My hands were still tightly wrapped in bandages complete with splints, but unlike before, I felt every single finger joint squirming perfectly according to my will.

Just then.

“Are you done?”

Startled, I snapped my head around.

Lee Sunho was leaning leisurely against the doorway, which had opened without my knowing, with his arms crossed.

I knew Lee Sunho’s ability to conceal his presence was excellent, but to think I would not even notice him inside the room. It seemed I had concentrated excessively on moving mana.

‘Since when was he there?’

If he asked how I healed both hands in an instant, I had no way to answer.

Originally, after restoring them in advance like this, I intended to pretend to manipulate mana here and there for about three or four days and make an excuse that they gradually improved.

With my current self, who was said to show outstanding talent in mana manipulation, I could somehow package it plausibly.

However, now that I had healed both hands right in front of his eyes without hesitation…

While I was worrying about what excuse to make, Lee Sunho approached close and grasped my hands.

“It would have been fine to leave them like that a bit longer.”

“What?”

“It is nothing. Just a bit disappointing.”

Lee Sunho smiled brightly and began unbinding the bandages on both my hands. Since he must have seen the flow of mana, he would naturally know I tried to heal my hands, but there was no hesitation at all in his movements as he unraveled the bandages.

As if he naturally knew that my shattered hands were now completely healed. As if he were a person who had known long ago what that flow of mana meant.

I felt an extremely strange sensation that this single moment of incongruity was by no means a trick of my imagination.
