“How did you get out of the dungeon?”
I did not answer immediately.
Seong Do‑yoon had always been extremely quiet and very cautious of others. He had lived a dark, passive life, which made him quite different from my original personality. Both of us barely showed emotion on our faces, though.
So if I were to act like Seong Do‑yoon, I should also watch my tone, but…
‘Whatever. Just say I flipped out after almost dying.’
I tilted my head, adding that plausibility to my thought.
“Is that not allowed?”
“What?”
“I wanted to get out, so I got out. Is that not okay?”
“Huh. Look at this guy.”
The bald man’s face twisted in disbelief. The other two men looked just as puzzled.
Unlike Seong Do‑yoon, who stammered and was dragged along without saying much, my tone was completely unrestrained.
I did not choose my words depending on who I was talking to.
The bald man, who had been exchanging glances with his companions, grabbed me by the collar. His hand crumpled my black shirt, dried with blood, mercilessly.
“Hey, you bastard! I do not know what you did, but if you survived, you should have reported to us first! Otherwise, you should have just stayed dead and hidden!”
He shoved me against the wall, and my back hurt quite a lot.
“Send the rewards you got from the Association immediately. Are you trying to cheat us?”
“I am the one who fought the boss directly. Why should I? If anyone is cheating, it is you guys by trying to squeeze me like this.”
“You little shit!”
The bald man raised his hand as if to punch. I swallowed a small sigh and blocked the incoming strike with my arm without difficulty. With my other hand, I grabbed the thumb of the man holding my collar and twisted it.
Crack.
The bone in his thumb snapped at an unnatural angle.
“Argh!”
The immense pain from the broken thumb made him cry out sharply.
This is all it took for him to be in pain.
“Hey.”
I grabbed his arm and pulled it sideways. His arm went rigid.
“Do I still look like your toy?”
I whispered ominously and struck his straightened elbow with my knee. His arm bent in an unnatural direction.
“Aaah!”
He screamed even louder, clutching his broken forearm as he stepped back. The two companions standing nearby stared at me with astonished faces, as if they were seeing me for the first time.
But soon, they too wore hostile expressions.
“Hey, you bastard! What do you think you are doing?!”
“Do you want to die?!”
The men charged at me, backed against the wall.
‘Fools.’
It looked like I had nowhere to go, but the reality was different.
I pressed my back to the wall and dropped quickly, like falling. One of them punched the cement wall instead and screamed in pain.
I used the recoil to punch both of them in the solar plexus.
“Ugh!”
“Arrgh!”
As they crouched over in pain, I grabbed one of them by the head and knee-struck him. His nose broke and blood sprayed.
As the other tried to retreat, I grabbed the back of his shirt collar and head, slamming him against the wall. He screamed as his face hit the wall.
I looked around at the two downed men and the shocked bald man.
Even though they were 8th rank, they were only physically strong, without combat skills. Apparently, they had come to the Association unarmed. Dealing with them was not difficult.
I drew my revolver from the holster at my waist.
I opened the cylinder to confirm that all six bullets were loaded. I already knew, but I deliberately showed it to them.

The sound of the cylinder closing rang out clearly.
I aimed the muzzle at the head of the downed bald man. The three men went pale immediately.
‘I really enjoy this moment.’
The exact instant when the faces of those arrogant fools reflected the realization of being screwed.
