“W-Wait…! Just a moment!!”

Jae-gyeong clicked the car handle, but the firmly closed door did not open.

“Hahaha! Jae-gyeong, don’t worry! You’ll get along with Da-sol in no time~”

Hyeon Hee-ro laughed maniacally as he increased the speed. Jae-gyeong rested his head against the window, scattering silent tears inside.

Being with them like this would only make things more miserable…

And Jae-gyeong’s prediction turned out to be exactly right.

***

The place Jae-gyeong was led to was the seventh-floor dormitory for Team 1 members in the guild building. He was told that it could be used whenever team members wanted to, whether during downtime after dungeon raids, after exhausting training sessions, or when they wanted to stay briefly at the guild to train.

Though it was called a dorm, it was practically a five-star penthouse. There were five rooms and three bathrooms. Each room was spacious, and the living room was wide open with a stunning city view.

“At one point, Jeong-eon lived here briefly. When he didn’t have anywhere else to go.”

Hyeon Hee-ro said this with a slight frown. It seemed he did not like that Jeong-eon had lived here alone.

“I should have coaxed him faster and gotten him to move into my place…”

Jae-gyeong decided to pretend he didn’t hear that. He thought about his own Awakener-exclusive apartment, which was considered top-tier. It was smaller than this place, and construction noise was frequent. Since it was a place where hunters lived, there were often damages that required constant repairs. The soundproofing was decent, though.

But this dorm, built solely for the elite team of the training guild, seemed several times more comfortable than ordinary apartments. Entry was only possible with registered hunters’ mana, and it was stocked with all sorts of daily necessities, food, and items. Hyeon Hee-ro said that they employed A-class cleaners and chefs among hunters to maintain the place regularly.

On the first floor, there were security guards, and various classes and ranks of hunters resided or commuted on each floor, making the building’s security stricter than almost anywhere else.

‘Should I just sell my apartment and live here…?’

It was that impressive.

At that moment, the entrance opened, and Jeong-eon and Da-sol entered.

“You’re already here, Hyeon Hee-ro. Jeong Jae-gyeong, hello. I’ve brought Seo Da-sol.”

“…What’s going on here?”

Da-sol asked sharply from behind.

“You said you wanted to test a new healing potion. Why are all these people here?”

It seemed that Jeong-eon had used a trick to get Da-sol here, like saying, ‘Let’s go eat tonkatsu’ but actually taking him to the guild. If he had told the truth, Da-sol would never have come on his own.

It was a smart choice. Da-sol trusted Jeong-eon more than anyone else on the team. He probably never suspected that he had been tricked.

Jae-gyeong found that a little cute, though only inside.

Jeong-eon gently pushed Da-sol’s back and blocked the entrance with his body.

“Seo Da-sol, the new healing potions are in the refrigerator. I’m not lying. I just didn’t mention something else. I apologize for that.”

“…Jeong Jeong-eon.”

Da-sol called him in a low, scraping voice. The expression and tone were so terrifying that Jae-gyeong instinctively took a small step back, even though it wasn’t directed at him.

“But Seo Da-sol, you must have been somewhat prepared mentally. You were told about the training camp once before. This can’t continue. You know that.”

“….”

It seemed Da-sol had already been informed about the training camp. And yet, he still looked horrified. Jae-gyeong realized once again that he was being disliked and swallowed the saliva forming in his mouth, sniffing quickly to clear the sharp sensation in his nose.

“How long?”

Da-sol asked sulkily. Jeong-eon responded with a gentle smile.

“For now, I thought about one week.”

“Three days.”

“One week.”

“Four days.”

“Seo Da-sol, this isn’t a matter for bargaining.”

“…Haa.”

Da-sol roughly ruffled his slightly wavy, light chocolate-colored hair. He had finally accepted the training camp.

He took off his shoes and headed straight for the refrigerator, took out a few healing potions, and entered the large room, slamming the door shut. The click of the lock could be heard.

An awkward silence hung over the living room and entrance. Jeong-eon awkwardly maintained his smile, Hyeon Hee-ro suddenly whistled while pretending to be distracted, and Jae-gyeong stood, struggling not to cry.
