That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 19.2
Jeong Jeong-eon looked at Jeong Jae-gyeong, who was now nearly unconscious and slumped over. Da-sol’s gaze also followed Jeong Jeong-eon to Jae-gyeong.
“Jeong Jae-gyeong will die during the raid.”

When Jae-gyeong opened his eyes, the dungeon raid had already been completed. He was lying in an Awakener’s Hospital bed. Thanks to Da-sol, most of his healing was done, but his stamina had dropped too low, so he had received IV fluids and fallen asleep.
Next to him, Hyeon Hee-ro, the guild master and team leader, was sitting with his legs crossed. Jae-gyeong hurriedly got up.
“Guild Master.”
“Stay lying down.”
“No…! I’m fine now, really….”
He was not lying. His body felt lighter than ever, and there was no pain anywhere. His mana was full, and he felt vitality flowing from within.
“Is that so? Then shall we go now? Your discharge has already been processed. You just need to leave.”
Hyeon Hee-ro smiled and helped Jae-gyeong up from the bed. Jae-gyeong politely declined assistance and stood on his own. He wondered if standing suddenly might make him dizzy, but his body was really fine.
“I brought my car. Let’s go together in my car. Where do you live?”
“Near the guild. Huntrion Apartments.”
“Oh, that’s the same apartment as Da-sol!”
“Yes… they live in the same building….”
Jae-gyeong’s face darkened rapidly. He remembered that before fainting, he had received Da-sol’s overwhelming healing, had made strange noises, and had an erection (though not fully).
“Are… the others all okay…?”
In fact, he wanted to ask specifically about Da-sol, but he hesitated, worrying that it might seem like he was too focused on Da-sol. He was also curious about how the dungeon raid had been completed.
“They’re all fine. The raid went as you suggested, destroying the mana stones immediately after locating them. Ye-jin used magic to create a giant spider and placed it inside the cake.”
“A giant spider? It didn’t get covered in the cake cream…?”
“It was huge, almost the size of the cake. The regeneration speed couldn’t keep up with the spider, so the moment the mana stone was exposed, Ri-na shot it with an arrow. No one was injured during the raid.”
“Ah, that’s a relief—”
“Thanks to you, Jae-gyeong.”
“No, it’s not thanks to me…”
“Why not? You used your skill without telling us, taking all the pain for us. That let us fight more comfortably.”
“….”
Hyeon Hee-ro was smiling, but his words had a sharp edge. Jae-gyeong hung his head.
“I’m sorry….”
“You know, Jae-gyeong. I get PTSD seeing people try to sacrifice themselves recklessly because of their loved ones. Explain why, in your first real fight, you did something like that without consulting your teammates.”
Hyeon Hee-ro still had a lovely smile, but his voice grew increasingly intense. Jae-gyeong sweated profusely and tried to choose his words carefully.
“Th… that is…”
“Don’t lie. I catch that kind of thing very easily.”
“Yes… actually…”
Jae-gyeong then recounted everything that happened with Da-sol. It was almost like confessing to a priest. Speaking so much at once was a rare event for him.
Hyeon Hee-ro was an excellent listener. He listened attentively and expertly drew out Jae-gyeong’s feelings. Jae-gyeong began to feel like he was the greatest storyteller.
When he described tearing the back of Da-sol’s T-shirt, Hyeon Hee-ro laughed so hard that Jae-gyeong couldn’t continue for over five minutes. Seeing Hyeon Hee-ro laugh so joyfully made him think that maybe it had been a funny incident rather than a serious problem.
For that reason, Jae-gyeong became awkward and felt guilty. He strongly didn’t want to bother Da-sol anymore. He tried to minimize the amount of healing he received and reduce encounters with Da-sol during the raid. That was his conclusion.
Hyeon Hee-ro, with a friendly expression, smiled as he listened to Jae-gyeong’s story until the end.
“Alright. Now I really know what to do. Thank you for speaking frankly, Jae-gyeong.”
“No…”
While talking, they arrived at Hyeon Hee-ro’s car. Jae-gyeong awkwardly got into a bright orange supercar. Hyeon Hee-ro sat in the driver’s seat and started the engine.
“We’re going to the training guild now.”
“Ah… okay…”
“And I’m going to lock you up there.”
“Yes… yes?”
Hyeon Hee-ro stepped on the accelerator without answering. The roar of the supercar’s exhaust drowned out Jae-gyeong’s last question, scattering it into the air.
