However, it only lasted a moment. Sang-min and Gam-ja, now more enraged, ran after Jae-gyeong and his group, storming out of the gym. Eventually, the second round occurred in the hallway in front of the elevator.

“Where do you think you are running?”

Gam-ja shouted. Now he was even angrier than Sang-min, but judging by the way he kept glancing at Da-sol, it seemed he wanted to impress him.

Jae-gyeong had seen men like this many times. There were those who would exaggerate to look good to someone they liked or, conversely, pretend to be calm and rational.

‘In the end, both Oh Sang-min and Park Gam-ja… have a crush on Da-sol.’

At first, their behavior seemed like resentment, as if they had gotten over Da-sol. But human psychology was such that when someone truly lost interest, they would show complete indifference.

Sang-min had continually approached Jae-gyeong using Da-sol as a connection. Jae-gyeong did not doubt that Sang-min still liked Da-sol.

What a harsh life for these two! To be so beautiful and dazzling that a swarm of insects burdens them with unwanted attention. If something like this happened to Jae-gyeong, he would have fled to a remote mountain valley and lived alone in peace.

Poor Da-in and Da-sol. Being beautiful is truly a crime.

A surge of emotion made Jae-gyeong’s eyes redden. The first to notice was Ri-na, who had her arms linked with Da-sol and was growling. She saw Jae-gyeong on the verge of tears and screamed in panic.

“Our new tank is crying! What are we going to do?”

All eyes turned to Jae-gyeong. Through the black bangs that hung over his eyebrows, his gray eyes shimmered with emotion. The corners of his eyes and the area under them were tinged red, and his long eyelashes glistened with moisture, casting a sorrowful shadow. In contrast, his pale skin emphasized his fragility and triggered an unexpected sense of protective affection.

Sang-min’s face flushed rapidly, and even Gam-ja, who had been tightly pressing his lips together, faltered. And Da-sol… looked at Jae-gyeong and thought.

‘Why does he look so damn pitiful?’

Jae-gyeong had delicate, pure features that did not match his height and build. His voice was gentle, and his speech slow, giving off an already kind aura, and his class was Paladin.

Sang-min and Gam-ja might not have noticed, but Da-sol and Ri-na had once seen enormous, white angel wings sprouting from Jae-gyeong’s back. No matter what they thought of him, that image strengthened their impression. A simple, absurd prejudice had formed: ‘Jeong Jae-gyeong is an angel.’

In fact, Jae-gyeong’s ability to thrive in the JK Guild had been largely thanks to his skill ‘Judgment of the Angel.’ It was not just his quiet demeanor, attentiveness, or measured reactions.

“Ah, no, what kind of man cries and acts like this?”

Gam-ja mustered his courage to scold, but the more he spoke, the stronger Jae-gyeong’s archangel vibe became. Jae-gyeong took a deep breath and spoke slowly.

“Actually… they are right. I cursed first, made them upset… and I probably hit Park Gam-ja’s friend too. I was in the wrong, so please, Da-sol and Ri-na, do not say anything to them.”

He mustered the courage to admit the truth. Even if Da-sol or Ri-na thought poorly of him afterward, it could not be helped. The truth was the truth. Jae-gyeong lowered his eyes, letting his eyelashes cast a delicate shadow.

“This is bullshit! New tank, you don’t need to act like that! Let’s just fight straight up! We’ll go to the mock training field right now!”

Ri-na suddenly summoned a bow and arrows with her magic, shouting at Sang-min and Gam-ja. Jae-gyeong’s eyes widened.

“Ri-na… why…!”

Why are they trying to attack them when I admitted I was wrong?

“Hunter Jeong Jae-gyeong.”

Da-sol called Jae-gyeong coldly. Jae-gyeong swallowed nervously. What would Da-sol say now? Bracing himself for harsh words, he closed his eyes, but Da-sol’s low voice cut through.

“Go to the dorm.”

“Yes, yes…?”

Jae-gyeong opened his eyes in surprise. Was Da-sol going to hit him at the dorm? At first, that was his thought. But Da-sol’s fierce gaze was aimed at Sang-min and Gam-ja.

“Let’s do 2v2.”

Jae-gyeong could hardly believe his ears. Was Da-sol saying he would fight alongside Ri-na? Why?

“Oh Sang-min is A-rank and Park Gam-ja is B-rank, but both are offensive. Even if it’s an A-rank archer and an A-rank healer, it doesn’t matter.”

Jae-gyeong thought Da-sol was unusually talkative, but Ri-na shouted excitedly from the side.
