Since he had already been rejected (though he had not confessed) and had more or less received a promise that Da-sol would not like him, it seemed that Da-sol could finally relax a little and accept Jae-gyeong as a full member of the team.

Jae-gyeong looked at Da-sol with gratitude. Da-sol, with tears slightly brimming in his eyes as if happy, subtly leaned away from Jae-gyeong’s gaze.

“Why, again?”

“No… I understand now…!”

“Understand what?”

“Hehe…”

Jae-gyeong awkwardly scratched the back of his head.

No explanation was really needed. He felt joy in finally being recognized as a true member of Team 1 of the Training Guild.

It was fine if things with Da-sol never worked out. After all, he had zero intention of pursuing a relationship with Da-sol. From the moment he was considered the younger brother of Da-in, that had been impossible. Jae-gyeong actually felt a sense of relief.

He leaned back against the sofa and sat more comfortably. Da-sol looked at him as if he were strange, then just turned his head away.

Jae-gyeong, feeling lighter in spirit, joined the conversation about deciding the delivery menu with the team. After consulting the delivery app together, they settled on Korean food. Each ordered their preferred type of set meal (Da-sol naturally chose a spicy pork set), and the food would arrive in ten minutes.

“Nowadays, hunters who don’t want to enter dungeons can make a pretty good income just by delivering. If you ran or flew there, it would take five minutes max.”

“Oh, that sounds good. Maybe I’ll try it when I have free time…”

“We always have to train and prepare for dungeon raids. That’s what the guild master wants, right?”

“Haha.”

Even though they were chatting casually and eating on the floor without plates, Jae-gyeong felt genuinely happy. In JK Guild, they also had good camaraderie, but the Training Guild had a family-like feeling. It also felt like friendship. For someone like Jae-gyeong, who was prone to loneliness, this was very precious.

Da-sol did not speak while eating his spicy pork set, but when others talked, he at least looked at them as if listening. Jae-gyeong also did not talk much, but he listened attentively and gathered more information about his teammates than before.

For example, he noticed that Hee-ro found Ri-na extremely cute. Jeong Jeong-eon admired Hee-ro genuinely, almost to an obsessive degree. Hee-ro was aware of this and enjoyed it fully. And Da-sol, who usually showed little interest in the team, still showed a sense of trust and responsibility toward them.

Another thing was that, if Jae-gyeong was not mistaken, Da-sol was making a considerable effort today in what he had previously referred to as ‘effort.’

He realized this just now. Da-sol, while eating his spicy pork set with his nose buried in it, would glance at Jae-gyeong whenever he moved slightly, nodded, or made small sounds like “Ah…” Jae-gyeong had noticed this because he often stole glances at Da-sol, causing their eyes to meet repeatedly.

When their eyes met and Jae-gyeong froze, Da-sol would casually return his gaze to his food. He never said anything like “Why are you staring?” or “Look away.” Jae-gyeong knew that this small gesture was a huge effort on Da-sol’s part.

Even more, Da-sol was eating slowly. Usually, he could finish two heaping bowls in no time, but now he was counting each grain with his chopsticks to match Jae-gyeong’s eating pace. At first, Jae-gyeong thought he was matching the pace of the other team members, but he realized that Da-sol was specifically checking Jae-gyeong’s pace.

‘So he really decided to open his heart to me too…’

Jae-gyeong felt a surge of emotion. He had not protected Da-sol with his own life to provoke this, but looking back now, it felt worthwhile. That act had convinced Da-sol that Jae-gyeong was not trash.

At the same time, Da-sol was thinking:

‘I’m just trying to do a little well, but why is he getting emotional again? Makes me want to punch him.’

Jae-gyeong’s guess was correct. Da-sol was eating in sync with his pace. The other team members did not know that Da-sol had a huge appetite and ate very fast. He had always eaten quickly to finish and leave with them.

However, after living together for a week, Jae-gyeong knew much more about Da-sol than anyone else probably did.
