‘Just a little more… if there is some stimulation, I might remember more… ‘Da-sol frowned as the caretakers barged in with a commotion. One fiddled with the fuse box, while the other immediately checked the temperature inside the refrigerator. Both were lower-ranked hunters, so their abilities were not impressive.

Still, the electricity came back on. Even before the power returned, the refrigerator had been cooling extra cold.

One caretaker, sweating heavily under the bright living room lights, explained,

“Our power ability has its limits, so this will last about half a day. Tomorrow, we will call a proper repair company. Even if the electricity goes out again, the refrigerator will stay cold for more than a day. The repair cost will be fully covered by the resident who caused the problem, so you do not need to worry too much.”

The caretakers bowed and left. Jae-gyeong kept bowing repeatedly, saying, “Thank you… please take care…” all the way to the door.

Once the door closed, the brightly lit house was left with only Da-sol and Jae-gyeong, as before.

“I guess I can’t go to the dorm tomorrow if I have to let the repair company in…”

Jae-gyeong said, hesitantly returning to the sofa.

“Da-sol, just sleep at our place tonight. The electricity will last at least half a day…”

“…Alright, then.”

At first, Da-sol was going to refuse, but he nodded willingly. Then he asked,

“By the way, hunter Jeong Jae-gyeong, have we met before?”

“Huh…? No…?”

Jae-gyeong was startled by the question but did not lie.

“Why… Why do you ask? I really only met you at the Training Guild…”

He had known Seo Da-in for three years and liked her since then, but he had only seen Da-sol in person after joining the guild.

“Of course I knew about you… It was pretty loud when you woke up. You were the first A-rank healer in Korea.”

Globally, most healers were between B and D rank. There had never been an S, A, or F-rank healer before. Analysts debated the reasons, but when an A-rank healer appeared in India and an S-rank in Italy, people began to hope that average healer rankings might gradually rise.

At that time, the A-rank healer in South Korea was Seo Da-sol. After awakening, Da-sol immediately received attention. The top-ranked Training Guild in Korea scouted him, and after a few days of consideration, Da-sol joined the guild.

That was only three and a half years ago. Just as no Korean was unaware of Hyeon Hee-ro or Jeong Jeong-eon, no one was unaware of Da-sol. For A-rank hunters often overlooked compared to S-rank, Da-sol’s awakening reignited respect for A-rank. Jae-gyeong personally disliked ranking systems, but Da-sol had certainly been famous since awakening.

“The ‘before’ you’re talking about, Da-sol, is before your awakening, right?”

“Yes.”

“Then I really wouldn’t know…”

Da-sol nodded at Jae-gyeong’s response.

“I just remembered something and asked just in case. Don’t worry about it.”

Then Da-sol got up from the sofa.

“I’m a bit hungry. Do you have instant noodles?”

“Uh… we have pork cutlet. Shall I fry it for you?”

“…Really?”

Jae-gyeong had never seen Da-sol ask ‘really?’ so earnestly. He smiled and got up. He had recently been buying pork and seasoning for stir-fry, and frozen pork cutlet, which naturally caught his attention.

It was not unusual. Living on the 12th floor, he had been consciously buying those items, thinking that eventually there would be an excuse to eat with Da-sol. It was a sly little shopping plan.

“Yes… lately, I’ve been eating pork cutlet with Da-sol often, so I wanted to make it at home too…”

That was also a sly little lie, but Da-sol did not know. Jae-gyeong calmly took a frozen pork cutlet packet from the freezer.

“If you put it in the air fryer, it will be done quickly. It’s better this way. Even though the fridge will stay cold until tomorrow, it’s safer to empty it.”

“True.”

Da-sol was already sitting at the table. Even though the pork cutlet had only just been taken out, his pinkish eyes showed anticipation. Seeing him so cute, Jae-gyeong laughed a little louder than before.

“Why are you laughing? It’s annoying.”

“Oh, sorry…”

Of course, Jae-gyeong had to apologize for laughing immediately.
