That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 50.2
Da-sol scrubbed his tongue with his toothbrush. Then the toothbrush accidentally touched his uvula.
“Uuuueeeek!”
It sounded like a middle-aged man violently vomiting his insides. The sound of water from outside, where Jae-gyeong was washing dishes, stopped abruptly.
“Da-sol, are you okay?”
Jae-gyeong approached and asked in a hesitant voice. Da-sol squeezed his eyes shut again. He spat out the remaining foam in his mouth and answered.
“…I’m fine.”
He quickly turned on the faucet. The sound of running water filled the bathroom. When he lifted his gaze slightly, he saw his flushed face reflected in the mirror. ‘Damn, damn, so embarrassing, damn!’ Da-sol mentally cursed repeatedly as he brushed his teeth and rinsed his mouth.
He turned the cold water on and washed his face frantically, then even poured icy water over his hair right there. His mind was a mess, and his chest felt tight. Irritation and shame tangled together, making it impossible to act calmly.
‘Why am I like this?’
In confusion, he washed almost as if he were scrubbing his entire body and came out of the bathroom still soaked. Jae-gyeong, standing at the sink looking toward the bathroom, blinked in surprise.
“Da-sol, are you dressed? Did you shower?”
“I only washed my hair.”
“But your clothes are all wet… you might as well just shower…”
Da-sol said nothing and went back into the bathroom. Not long after, the sound of the shower started. He could even hear Da-sol muttering, “Ugh, it’s cold.”
Jae-gyeong completely forgot the gloom he had felt a moment ago at Da-sol’s inexplicable behavior. Trying to understand Da-sol seemed pointless.
He finished washing the dishes, removed his rubber gloves and apron, and neatly placed the underwear and pajamas that Da-sol had brought in front of the bathroom. Then he went into his room, leaving the door slightly open.
He figured Da-sol probably would not want to show himself naked to him, so this was a small consideration. But closing the door completely would seem unkind. Jae-gyeong always overthought things.
The sound of running water came and went, like raindrops. Hearing it, he involuntarily pictured Da-sol taking a shower. Jae-gyeong quickly shook his head.
‘Imagining Da-sol in the shower… this is exactly what he hates…’
But once the image started, it kept expanding. Milky skin, pink nipples, water droplets clinging and falling. Perhaps what was below was also pretty pink.
“Uh…?”
Jae-gyeong rewound the image in his mind. Did I just imagine Da-sol’s genitals? Like when I dreamed about naked girls during puberty?
“Crazy…”
He screamed internally, fully realizing what he had done.
“No, it’s not, it can’t be, it must not be…”
I have never liked a guy before. Being drawn to Da-sol was only because he resembled Seo Da-in . Now I know they are different, it was just a human attachment. I’ve only ever liked women!
Jae-gyeong jumped into the bed, buried his head under the pillow like a turtle, and wrapped himself tightly in the blanket.
A sudden surge of anxiety erupted. His heartbeat, which had been strange in front of Da-sol, now felt two to three times faster. Even his blood flowed rapidly like when receiving healing, and his lower body started to feel stiff.
“No, absolutely not…”
Jae-gyeong wriggled under the blanket and jumped up. He had a strong intuition that if he slept in the same house with Da-sol in this state, it would be a disaster.
Before Da-sol came out of the bathroom, he hurried to the entrance, put on his shoes, and ran out. Today he absolutely had to sleep at the guild dorm.
About five minutes later, Da-sol finished showering. He slightly opened the door to check if Jae-gyeong was outside, then put on the clothes prepared in front of the bathroom. Seeing that Jae-gyeong’s door was half-open, he carefully and quietly walked to the entrance.
‘There’s no way I’m sleeping in this house today.’
If Jae-gyeong found out, he would probably make a sulky face and act out, but it could not be helped. Da-sol was experiencing an unprecedented emotional confusion right now.
He tiptoed to the entrance, slipped on his shoes quietly, and opened the door softly to avoid making noise.
‘I’ll just explain to Jeong Jae-gyeong later by text.’
He thought this as he began descending via the stairs, not the elevator. Da-sol planned to spend the day at the guild dorm.
He did not even know that Jae-gyeong had already left for the dorm five minutes earlier.
