“Da-sol, can we join too? Please.”

“….”

Da-sol pretended not to hear and looked away. But when he turned, Jae-gyeong was standing there. Jae-gyeong gave him a faint smile. Da-sol looked at him for a moment before speaking.

“Jeong Jae-gyeong Hunter, shall we do it together one more time?”

“Uh… me…?”

“You do not want to?”

“No, it’s fine….”

“Then let’s do it.”

The last words were addressed to Lee Hyun. Ri-na, who was stretching, glanced at Da-sol and said, “Oh?”

“Da-sol oppa, you spoke casually to the escort hunter? What’s going on?”

“He said I could.”

“I begged him to let me.”

“Wow, it even took time for us to get him to do that. The escort hunter is really friendly. And it seems like Da-sol oppa does not dislike him either. You two really get along, huh?”

Ri-na expressed her admiration, and Lee Hyun looked at Da-sol with a pleased expression.

“Because I do not do anything that would make Da-sol oppa dislike me. Right, oppa?”

“…Hmm.”

Da-sol nodded. It was true. If Lee Hyun had pushed any closer, it might have been irritating, but he maintained the perfect balance, showing respect. His focus was clearly more on his role as an escort hunter than anything else.

However, the other team members felt that Da-sol and Lee Hyun’s relationship had developed based on mutual liking, and Jae-gyeong thought the same.

‘He does not do anything I would dislike… That is the opposite of me….’

At first, Jae-gyeong had deliberately done things that annoyed Da-sol, so he lowered his head slightly, feeling uneasy. It had taken him a long time to get close to Da-sol, even needing to stay together for a while, but Lee Hyun only needed a few training sessions to already speak casually with him.

Of course, Jae-gyeong’s introverted nature played a part, but some people were naturally skilled at putting others at ease. He could not compete with that and felt a little envious of Lee Hyun.

In time, the gap would likely widen. Da-sol and Lee Hyun would become inseparable partners, while Jae-gyeong would watch from a distance.

It was a familiar pattern. It had been like that with Seo Da-in as well. So it was not a reason to feel bitter.

With Lee Hyun’s suggestion and Ye-jin’s agreement, they ran another A-rank dungeon simulation with the same team composition from the Fire Dungeon. This time, they moved together from the start, so there was no need to use the ring. Jae-gyeong, at the front, pulled aggro more actively than usual and attacked with determination.

In truth, it was less ‘determination’ and more ‘showing off.’ I am working hard. I am a capable hunter. I have my strengths. He wanted to subtly appeal to Da-sol, whether Da-sol noticed or not.

Lee Hyun also took his escort duties seriously, especially since this was an A-rank simulation with the whole team. More monsters appeared than usual, requiring him to protect Da-sol fully.

Ye-jin and Ri-na had grown more familiar with their new weapons, moving effortlessly throughout the dungeon. Ri-na’s attack power had increased significantly, which made her very satisfied.

The second simulation took about forty minutes. By the end, everyone was drenched in sweat and all needed Da-sol’s healing.

“Ugh, I’m dying… Oppa, heal me hard.”

Ri-na was the first to run to Da-sol, taking off her gloves and holding out her hands. Even with gloves, her hands were bloody. Using magic-infused arrows made it difficult for mere protective items to keep her skin safe. Da-sol healed her hands cleanly without a word.

Ye-jin and Lee Hyun also recovered quickly from Da-sol’s healing. Seeing wounds close, blood stop, and magical energy replenish while their complexions improved was always astonishing. Finally, Jae-gyeong hesitated before approaching Da-sol.

“I… I am not badly hurt, and I can restore my mana with a potion, so… healing is fine.”

“Ah, really?”

Da-sol responded indifferently and pulled at Jae-gyeong’s collar. Jae-gyeong’s face flushed crimson as it came close to Da-sol’s.

“Wh-what, what…!”

“There is a lot of blood coming from your neck.”

“Uh…? R-really…?”

“You did not even know you were hurt.”

Soon Da-sol’s hand touched Jae-gyeong’s neck. The warm touch immediately healed the previously sore area. ‘So his neck really was hurt…’ Da-sol had not realized. He let go of Jae-gyeong, who looked up at him, slightly unsure.

“I will be keeping a special watch on you from now on. You are the type a healer dislikes the most.”
