“Tanker-nim! Thanks to you, I had a sweet and easy hospitalization without any pain. Thanks~”

Ri-na said, shooting a playful wink. But before Jae-gyeong could even answer, Da-sol retorted with a terrifying face and voice.

“Is that something you should be saying right now? Jeong Mr. Jae-gyeong took on all the pain you were supposed to feel, and you can still laugh? I heard you were ordering delivery food like crazy at the hospital, and that you finished your trauma treatment ages ago and were getting dermatology consultations? You look like you’re having a blast? Someone else lost consciousness because they were in pain for your sake!”

“What the? Why is Oppa suddenly so angry? Why does it matter to you whether I eat tteokbokki or malatang or get procedures done? If anyone should be angry, it’s Tanker-nim, so why are you acting like a jerk, Oppa?”

“Do you think Jeong Mr. Jae-gyeong would get angry at you with his personality? That’s you being strong to the weak and weak to the strong.”

“What are you saying? I’m strong to the strong and strong to the weak because I’m just that tough, okay? What do you even know about me, Oppa?”

Just as a catfight was about to start in the guild lobby—the first time they had met since the major raid—Ye-jin stepped between them to block the path.

“Ugh, why are you guys like this? Can’t you see Hunter Jae-gyeong looking uncomfortable? Ri-na, show some respect to your Oppas. And Da-sol, stop talking so rudely. And honestly, why are you making such a fuss when Hunter Jae-gyeong is staying quiet? You’re suddenly even calling him ‘Jeong Mr. Jae-gyeong.’ I thought I heard wrong. Are you two dating?”

“Cough, wheeze, ugh…! Oh my…”

“Ahem, ahem!”

At Ye-jin’s joking remark, Jae-gyeong and Da-sol suddenly started coughing like crazy. Jae-gyeong seemed to have choked on his own saliva, and Da-sol fake-coughed while intentionally looking elsewhere.

The three hunters’ eyes widened at the extremely suspicious behavior. Lee Hyeon was the first to rudely point his finger, alternating between Da-sol and Jae-gyeong.

“Y-You two… aren’t, right? Like that? You two aren’t dating and… doing things like that… are you?”

Ye-jin and Ri-na, who had known Da-sol longer, snorted, albeit awkwardly, at Lee Hyeon’s words.

“Good grief, dating…. No way. That’s impossible. Hunter Gyeongho-nim doesn’t know Da-sol-oppa well yet, but Da-sol-oppa is a truly famous human-hater. Women, men, elderly, babies, teenagers—he hates everyone if they are human. He hates them even more than monsters. Especially men; he practically vomits when he sees them. It’s for real.”

“That’s right, Hunter Lee Hyeon. Da-sol and romance? Hahahaha! There’s absolutely no way, and I was just joking around too. Friends? Honestly, the possibility of him having friends is low. No, it’s practically non-existent. Da-sol doesn’t even really grasp the concept of a friend…”

Thanks to the two women practically badmouthing him to his face, Lee Hyeon nodded his head, feeling unconvinced.

“R-Right? There’s no way you and Hunter Jeong Jae-gyeong are dating… Hahaha…”

Lee Hyeon, who had been brutally rejected by Da-sol after his feelings were exposed not long ago, clung desperately to the agreement.

“Th-That’s right…! We are absolutely not in that kind of relationship…! I’m still so scared of Mr. Da-sol…. Mr. Da-sol gets angry whenever he sees me too…”

Jae-gyeong also cleared his throat belatedly and lied as diligently as he could. But then, Da-sol glared sharply at Jae-gyeong again. Jae-gyeong’s complexion turned blue.

“Wh-Why…?”

‘Aren’t I doing this right? You said we shouldn’t get caught…. Then why are you glaring at me like that….’

Jae-gyeong sent a telepathic message, looking at Da-sol with teary, mournful eyes. Fortunately, whether he understood the meaning or fell for Jae-gyeong’s “tears/beauty” tactics, Da-sol relaxed his eyes.

“Tell everyone to stop saying useless things.”

Da-sol said coldly and got into the elevator. Jae-gyeong and the rest of the team members hurriedly followed Da-sol onto the elevator.

They headed to the 17th floor together. Today was the first meeting for Training Guild Team 1 since the jungle dungeon raid.

Although Da-sol had told him not to look at Hee-ro and Jeong-eon as references, Jae-gyeong intended to observe the two of them very closely during the meeting today.

He still couldn’t forget his first day at work, when he envied the way Hee-ro and Jeong-eon were all over each other. The two genuinely cherished and loved one another, and they had been maintaining a happy, loving relationship for over three years.

‘I want to become a couple like that with Mr. Da-sol, too…!’

He was clumsy in dealing with people, and from the very beginning, his relationship with Da-sol had been a rocky one. Their hearts had connected as if by a miracle, and he had absolutely no intention of letting that slip away through negligence.

Jae-gyeong walked into the conference room with determination. Hee-ro and Jeong-eon were already sitting in the head seats, and their lips were slightly swollen, as if they had been kissing before the team members entered. The gaze Hee-ro cast playfully at Jeong-eon was also quite significant.

‘Yes, I have to learn from that!’

Jae-gyeong’s eyes gleamed as he sat down close to Hee-ro.
