That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 80.1
The purpose of this meeting, held after every team member had fully recovered, was to review the previous raid.
Thanks to the map detailing the structure of the jungle dungeon, the task was to jog their memories from start to finish regarding which monsters appeared in which sections. Based on this, the team members would review and develop their own skills or movement patterns.
Furthermore, this meeting allowed them to supplement their reports with more detail and add data to the mock training programs. Therefore, while the atmosphere was relaxed, this meeting could be considered very important.
Even so, Jae-gyeong’s eyes kept drifting toward Hee-ro and Jeong-eon rather than the large screen behind them.
He hadn’t really noticed it before, but now that he was looking, Hee-ro and Jeong-eon were engaging in petty flirting even in the middle of the meeting!
In particular, while Hee-ro was leading the meeting, he would occasionally wink at Jeong-eon or blow him hand hearts. Jeong-eon pretended not to see with a blank expression, but Jae-gyeong could tell that the tips of his ears were turning red and his breathing was quickening.
Why hadn’t he known until now? As Jae-gyeong pondered the reason, he turned his head toward a prickly gaze he felt from somewhere. Da-sol was sitting there. When Jae-gyeong looked at him, Da-sol flinched and shifted his gaze back to the screen.
Ah… I see.
Jae-gyeong realized it only then. The reason he hadn’t known even though Hee-ro and Jeong-eon were being so blatant with their affection was that Jae-gyeong had been watching Da-sol instead of them. Just as Da-sol had been watching Jae-gyeong a moment ago.
‘It seems it’s true that Mr. Da-sol really likes me….’
As that thought crossed his mind, his face suddenly flushed, and the air around him grew hotter. They had already kissed, and he had received confirmation just yesterday, but the fact that Da-sol was watching him even while surrounded by so many people in the conference room felt like the greatest proof of his heart.
However, if he met Da-sol’s gaze and showed any awkwardness here, someone would surely find out. Since Da-sol was famous for hating men, it would certainly become troublesome if it were rumored that he was dating one, so Jae-gyeong resolved never to look at Da-sol.
Instead, he focused more on Hee-ro and Jeong-eon. As he watched them again, their trivial actions stood out once more.
“So, this is where our Mr. Jeong-eon used his Command Speech in such an incredible way.”
Hee-ro pointed to a spot on the map and spoke in a loud, booming voice. Jeong-eon clamped his mouth shut. It seemed he was embarrassed by Hee-ro acting so shamelessly. However, Hee-ro paid no heed and continued to brag about Jeong-eon.
“As expected of our country’s top hunter and the greatest Command Speech user on Earth, he simply suppressed the monsters with a single word. I fell for Mr. Jeong-eon all over again right here.”
As he said this, Hee-ro circled the map and proceeded to draw stars and hearts all over it.
JEONG JEONG-EON’S PERFORMANCE!!!!!
He even wrote five exclamation marks. It was only after Jeong-eon said in a low voice, “Please stop, Hee-ro-nim,” that Hee-ro moved on to the next section.
“Uh, yes, here… was it Ms. Ye-jin? You used your attack magic here, right?”
When he spoke about other hunters’ performances, he finished recording quickly in a tone that was soft but extremely businesslike. Ye-jin nodded with a sour expression.
“That’s correct.”
“Okay, the wide-area attack on the murderous rats landed well. And Mr. Jae-gyeong, you fired your Dark Spear at the right timing here, so we could take care of the rats’ corpses inside the pit all at once. The coordination here was good.”
His attitude when mentioning other hunters was no different from a top-tier instructor. Then, as soon as Jeong-eon was mentioned again, his voice and posture changed entirely.
“But our Mr. Jeong-eon used the robotic bird right here. You adapted to the new item so well, too, didn’t you? This really needs to go down in history, so five stars.”
“Hee-ro-nim…”
“Whyyy…. It’s true that Mr. Jeong-eon used the bird item in an incredible way right here…. The other hunters need to watch and learn. Isn’t it our job to put effort into training our juniors, Mr. Jeong-eon?”
He acted like a pitiful victim while saying this, which was utterly disgusting. Jae-gyeong couldn’t help but frown before he knew it. It wasn’t just Jae-gyeong. Everyone on the team except Jeong-eon was staring at Hee-ro with expressions that suggested they were on the verge of spewing profanities.
However, Jeong-eon saw Hee-ro’s sad expression and full-of-aegyo voice and immediately nodded as if possessed.
“You are correct, Hee-ro-nim. I believe that part is important as well. I overlooked the importance of record-keeping.”
Jae-gyeong was shocked to realize that Jeong-eon was saying this in all seriousness.
Who was Jeong Jeong-eon? Was he not the idol, hope, and object of adoration for all hunters? He was a winner of a Peace Prize who strove day and night for hunters of classes and grades that faced discrimination—including Command Speech users—and had even blocked the Earth’s fissures twice, earning him global renown.
