That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 8.2
“Hello… Da-sol…”
Jae-gyeong bowed his head and greeted him. Since their eyes had met, he felt he had to say something, but no words came to mind except a greeting.
“Mm.”
Da-sol responded slowly, as if somewhat regretful, continuing to look at Jae-gyeong.
Why… why is he staring like that? Did I make a mistake? Is he still upset about the envelope I gave him earlier? Should I apologize again? Or is he just annoyed that I’m looking at him?
Jae-gyeong’s mind raced with all sorts of thoughts. Soon, he realized that Da-sol was not focused on him, but on Hee-ro and Jeong-eon, who were walking toward them behind him.
“Now, shall we begin training? Our new tank, Jae-gyeong, should get used to your skills and practice coordination with the team. Let’s do our best!”
Hee-ro exclaimed cheerfully.
“The slowest one acting like the leader…”
Ri-na muttered, and Hee-ro laughed in good humor.
“Haha, not acting like a leader, Ri-na. I really am the leader. Anyway, this is fun. Everyone ready?”
“Yes.”
The team answered in unison. Jae-gyeong clenched his fists to hide his trembling hands.
It was his first time coordinating with the training guild. Thankfully, it wasn’t a real mission. When he had joined JK Guild, his first day had included a dungeon raid, which had been tough. Of course, it had helped him bond with the team naturally from the start.
‘I’ll do well here too.’
Jae-gyeong resolved firmly and stole a glance at Da-sol. He was no longer looking at Jae-gyeong. Jae-gyeong put on his VR gear and faced forward.
“Let’s start~”
With Hee-ro’s melodious voice, the first simulated training at the training guild began.

- This is Serious!
At the front of the formation stood Jae-gyeong, the tank. Behind him were the main attackers, Hee-ro and Ye-jin, with the archer Ri-na next, and at the very back stood Jeong-eon and Da-sol side by side.
“The simulated training system differs by guild, so I’ll guide our new member, Jae-gyeong, while explaining,” Hee-ro said.
“We’ll generally keep this order. In a real dungeon, you might walk for hours or get separated, but this is a simulation, so monsters will appear immediately, up to A-rank.”
“Yes…”
Jae-gyeong was secretly impressed by Hee-ro’s consideration. Explaining for his benefit was encouraging.
“Jae-gyeong, you said you summon weapons with your skill, right? It’s best to do that now, before the monsters appear.”
“Yes, understood…”
Jae-gyeong placed his hand on his left chest and whispered the skill name.
“[Angel’s Judgment].”
White light erupted around him. Giant white wings sprouted from his back, and a long arm gun appeared on his right forearm.
“Whoa, so cool!”
Ri-na’s voice from behind made Jae-gyeong smile slightly. His weapon was none other than wings and an arm gun.
Jeong Jae-gyeong
Paladin (A)
Angel’s Judgment (S)
Divine Shield (B)
Spear of Protection (A)
Using the skill “Angel’s Judgment,” Jae-gyeong could fly and shoot magic bullets from his arm gun. Being an S-rank skill, he could wield two weapons and engage in aerial combat, making him the envy of others. It was the perfect skill for a tank leading the front line.
He spread his wings and soared. Almost simultaneously, monsters appeared in front of him.
Bean Mite (B)
Bean-shaped mite monsters poured out in overwhelming numbers.
“Jae-gyeong, show the power of a tank!”
“Go, Shin Tank Monster!!”
Hee-ro and Ri-na shouted excitedly toward the sky. Jae-gyeong aimed at the swarm and charged his magic before firing.
Bang!
The ground split under the tremendous force, and the bean mites exploded. A large crater remained where the monsters had been. Ye-jin and Ri-na gaped, Hee-ro raised his eyebrows, and Jeong-eon nodded slightly. Even Da-sol widened his eyes at the massive crater in front of him.
“Is this… okay?”
Jae-gyeong folded his wings and cautiously asked as he landed. Hee-ro chuckled at the question.
“Okay? Look at you glowing white like that.”
Jae-gyeong didn’t even need to hear the answer. From Hee-ro’s expression, he knew he was extremely satisfied.
“Welcome to the training guild, Jae-gyeong.”
