That Face Is the Problem - Chapter 9.2
Splash. The poison that brushed against Hee-ro’s combat uniform melted the S-rank fabric and fell. A short line appeared on Hee-ro’s left thigh. Jae-gyeong winced and bit back a groan, feeling it exactly where Hee-ro had been hit.
“Ugh…”
As Hee-ro had said, the wound was shallow and did not hurt much. Since this was a mock training session, the damage was only about one-tenth of what it would be in reality. Even at one-tenth, the pain from the poison spread quickly.
“…It doesn’t really hurt. How about you, Jae-gyeong?”
“It hurts a little for me…”
The moment Hee-ro and the other team members realized that Jae-gyeong was actually feeling the pain in place of Hee-ro, they gasped in amazement. It was a cruel thing to do to Jae-gyeong, but this skill could be extremely useful in critical situations.
“Wow, do all paladins normally have a skill like this?”
Ri-na asked as she shot an arrow at the boss monster. Her arrow hit precisely at the monster’s core, and it let out a roar before shattering almost effortlessly. The dungeon background disappeared, revealing the training ground. The virtual dungeon had been cleared.
Hee-ro dematerialized his weapon and approached Jae-gyeong.
“Seems like a pretty special skill, right?”
“Yes… I think it’s a unique skill of mine…”
Still, everyone had similar types of skills. Some paladins, like healers, could use their own mana to heal others or treat blood like a potion.
Paladin skills were usually sacrificial and grotesque in nature. Since the class awakened primarily those with a strong sense of altruism or a clerical background, everyone accepted and used these skills without much resistance.
Jae-gyeong was no different. Of course, he did not enjoy feeling pain, but since it was a highly useful skill, he did not hesitate to use it when necessary.
“Let’s start with healing. The power is weak, but since it is poison, it will spread through your whole body. I will skip my own since it’s just a scratch,”
Hee-ro said, lightly patting Jae-gyeong on the back. As soon as he finished speaking, Da-sol approached from behind.
“Sit down.”
Da-sol said briefly.
“Here…?”
Jae-gyeong looked around the empty floor, bewildered. A trace of irritation appeared on Da-sol’s face.
“If you can walk, go try the chair over there.”
The chair was attached to the wall of the training ground, a little distance away. Jae-gyeong dragged his right leg, which was beginning to tingle and feel numb, and simply sat down in place.
As if he had expected this, Da-sol knelt beside him on one knee.
“Where exactly does it hurt?”
“Uh… here.”
Jae-gyeong pointed to the edge of his left thigh.
‘Please don’t make me take off my clothes…’
His face turned red just imagining it. He cleared his throat awkwardly and lowered his gaze to the ceiling.
“I’ll do it. Since it’s poison, it needs to circulate through your body, so it will take about three minutes.”
Da-sol spoke in a weary tone, like a nurse treating hundreds of patients. Well, it was not that different.
While Da-sol attended to Jae-gyeong, the other team members removed their VR gear and moved toward the rest area.
“[Heal].”
Da-sol placed his hand on Jae-gyeong’s thigh. Fortunately, he did not remove the pants, but the hand covering the thigh looked starkly white against the combat uniform, which was somewhat stimulating.
Surprisingly large hands…
Despite his pretty and cute appearance, Da-sol had thick, large hands. He was indeed a man. Watching closely, Jae-gyeong saw pink-colored mana flowing from Da-sol’s fingertips, delicate and refined like the color of his eyes.
“Ah…!”
Jae-gyeong felt the healing mana flow into his body, easing the pain in his thigh. The warm, gentle energy began purifying the faint poison.
It was natural to feel good while receiving healing. The new mana with healing properties entered his depleted body, eliminating the pain and providing genuine healing.
Yet Da-sol’s healing was even… more pleasant, leaving a lingering sensation. Perhaps it was because he was an A-rank healer. Among Korean healers, Da-sol’s ability was likely the strongest. Being the healer of Training Guild Team 1 carried that significance.
“Truly, it’s on another level…”
The tension lifted from Jae-gyeong’s shoulders, and his eyes relaxed. He gazed at Da-sol with a drowsy expression. Then, Da-sol’s face suddenly twisted in anger.
“Damn it…”
“Yes…?”
“Ah, shit… you too?”
Da-sol glared at Jae-gyeong menacingly. What was he talking about? Jae-gyeong tilted his head, and Da-sol struck his groin roughly with the back of his hand.
“Move it, it’s filthy.”
Jae-gyeong looked down slowly. His crotch was noticeably swollen. It was an erection.
