Hong Seo-yun stepped back to control the perimeter and cleared out the bystanders. This was practically setting the stage for a proper fight.

“Hyung, Hyung!”

Startled, Ian urgently grabbed Hong Seoyoon.

“You have to stop them! Why are you going along with this!”

“No, think about it. Imagine I have a cute, young younger brother. I raised him like a precious jade, but one day some dog-like scoundrel appears and messes with him. Then what should I do?”

“I think I will try to have a conversation first.”

Of course, Ian’s words didn’t stand a chance.

“I’d have to beat him. Beat him until he’s dead, and then beat him some more. It’d be even better if he died.”

“Taegyeom Hyung!”

However, Yoon Tae-gyeom, his last hope, was not much different from Hong Seo-yun.

“Ian, let us think about this rationally. Five years ago, you were young. And that guy.”

Yoon Tae-gyeom pushed up his glasses with his middle finger.

“If he touched you, that is a crime. Even now, you are still young, aren’t you?”

“No, you don’t even know Vermouth’s age!”

“I know. He said with his own mouth that he is 28.”

Did he? Ian only just found out because he had never asked about Vermouth’s age. There really had been a lack of conversation between them. Vermouth had often tossed questions at Ian, but Ian had not done the same. He planned to leave the man eventually anyway. He had tried not to give him any affection. Above all, the man had done quite a few crazy things.

“Hyuuung!”

“No. No matter how cutely you call me, what’s forbidden is forbidden.”

Despite that, Hong Seo-yun and Yoon Tae-gyeom did not jump into the fight immediately. It was to give Choi Jae-heon time to release at least some of the rage he had built up. However, if he fell into a disadvantage, they would intervene instantly.

Boom! Boom!

Containers flew through the air again, and at the same time, a powerful force pressed down on Vermouth. Because of that, all the tents in the vicinity were destroyed. It seemed Choi Jae-heon had widened the range to prevent any chance of escape.

“Seriously, what are they even doing?”

The Guild Masters of the other guilds stood far back and watched the fight between the two.

“He is terrifyingly strong.”

Jeong Yeon-hwa shook her head. She did not have the confidence to defeat him in a direct confrontation.

“Is it because he is a Second Awakened?”

“Who knows. Regardless, it is an incredible ability.”

The way he handled telekinesis as freely as if using his own hands was impressive. And Vermouth, who was taking every hit from the opposite side, was no pushover either. Every time Vermouth opened his mouth in between, Choi Jae-heon’s power grew even stronger.

It was as if his rage was fueling his strength.

“But really, why are they fighting?”

Park Seo-ri tilted her head as if puzzled. However, the only ones here who knew the circumstances were the three standing in front of them.

Vermouth opened his mouth again.

“Is there a need to go this far? No matter how much he is your younger brother, he is a separate individual, and he is fully capable of handling his own affairs.”

Choi Jae-heon knew. He knew what the relationship between a typical older and younger brother was like. No matter how good their relationship was, as long as he did not know Ian’s clear intentions, this could be considered excessive interference.

“You should not interfere with his love life.”

Yet, he simply could not calm his anger. Choi Jae-heon was using more power now than at any point since his awakening. The earth was gouged out, and the river water was pushed back. He even suffered a nosebleed from the unreasonable exertion of power, but he did not want to stop. He even blocked Hong Seo-yun and Yoon Tae-gyeom when they tried to intervene.

It was because he wanted to strike down the bastard named Vermouth entirely with his own strength. At some point, Vermouth also drew his sword and began to swing it.

“Ah, Mr. Ian is really going to dislike this.”

A murderous intent dwelled in the violet eyes.

“This really won’t do.”

He wants to kill him. That emotion was clearly felt from Vermouth. Just as Choi Jae-heon wanted to kill him, he also wanted to kill Choi Jae-heon.

“Hyung!”

Ian’s voice was heard from behind. At that, the gaze in Vermouth’s eyes, which had been half-turned away, softened slightly. He let out a deep sigh and sliced through the air with his sword. Then, the telekinesis that had been pressing down on him vanished, and he regained the freedom of his body.

Drip.

Following his nose, blood now flowed from his eyes as well. It seemed his capillaries had burst. Even so, Choi Jae-heon did not withdraw his outstretched hand.

“Now I understand.”

One step, two steps. Vermouth, having approached Choi Jae-heon, whispered.

“You are of the same kind as me.”

“Who would ever be the same as someone like you!”

“No, we are of the same kind. You, what do you think of Ian?”

“He is my precious family and my younger brother.”

“Really?”

Vermouth smiled strangely. He raised his hand and poked Choi Jae-heon’s chest with his finger.

“Can you swear on your heart? Is Ian truly just a younger brother to you, purely and simply?”

At that moment, Choi Jae-heon’s heart sank.
