The Saint Wants to Rest - Chapter 9.2
Thinking about the things that were about to happen, my heart was not entirely at ease. However, being like this with Choi Jae-heon after such a long time brought back old memories. Whenever he had the time, Choi Jae-heon used to insist on washing Ian himself. To Ian, who would protest that he was all grown up, he would always say this:
“To me, you’re still a child.”
No, Hyung. Where would you find such a big child? Although he grumbled, Ian didn’t actually dislike Choi Jae-heon’s doting fool side deep down. Being with him made his heart feel at peace.
“Do you still think I’m like a kid, Hyung?”
When he asked while leaning his head against the towel Choi Jae-heon had placed behind his neck, a small laugh returned.
“Of course.”
“That’s only because you’re older than me!”
“Later on, when I get too old and it’s hard to move, then you wash me.”
“So you had a whole plan all along!”
It was quite nice to warm his body in the hot water while exchanging silly banter. When Ian’s body had relaxed to some extent, Choi Jae-heon took him out of the tub and washed his hair for him. When he was younger, his brother used to wash his body too, but after he entered middle school, he let him do it alone.
After finishing the bath, Choi Jae-heon handed Ian some pajamas. They were pink pajamas with a cute rabbit drawn on them. Choi Jae-heon himself dressed quite well, but he uniquely tended to pick out bizarre clothes for Ian. How could something like this suit a fully grown adult man?
“Let’s dry your hair.”
Choi Jae-heon, sitting on the sofa, patted the space between his legs. As Ian sat down there, he dried his hair with a hair dryer.
“What about food? What do you want to eat?”
“The tuna kimchi stew you make, Hyung.”
It was a food that he could never eat in the other world. Since Ian was a Saint, they tended to take good care of his meals, but they absolutely did not suit his palate. As a rule, a Korean person doesn’t even feel that the spiciness of something like Shin Ramyun is spicy.
“With Cheongyang chili peppers in it too?”
“Of course you have to put them in!”
“And the tuna?”
“A lot!”
“Alright, wait.”
Even though the heating was on, Choi Jae-heon handed Ian a cardigan just in case he was cold. While Ian was washing up, it seemed he had already started cooking, as before long, the spicy scent of kimchi stew wafted over.
“Wow.”
It’s so good just from the smell alone.
“Hyung, I think I’m so happy because I’m your brother.”
When he said that, Choi Jae-heon, who was making rolled omelets, gave a smirk.
“Me too, I’m happy because you’re my brother.”
Both Ian and Choi Jae-heon were individuals who had reached the extreme of being a “Brother-complex.” The meal Choi Jae-heon made was so delicious that he ate three bowls of rice. As his body grew warm and his stomach became full, drowsiness rushed in immediately.
“You should go to your room and sleep.”
However, he didn’t want to sleep. What if he woke up, opened his eyes, and the face he saw was that crazy bastard’s face again? He was afraid that escaping from the other world was a dream. Ian could not fall asleep easily.
“I don’t want to sleep.”
When he let the thought out of his mouth, Choi Jae-heon grabbed Ian’s hand.
“Then shall we sleep together with Hyung?”
That sounded good. The bed in Hyung’s room was a Queen size, no less. So, on nights when sleep wouldn’t come, he would sometimes lie on Hyung’s bed and watch webtoons or play games. When Ian nodded, Choi Jae-heon took him to his room.
A familiar scent lingered in the room.
Yes, Choi Ian had truly returned to his home on Earth. Therefore, there was nothing more to fear. Ian lay down on the bed side-by-side with Choi Jae-heon and fell into a deep sleep.

Vermouth ran as soon as he exited the Gate. Only after standing on top of a tall building did he stop his steps. Even though darkness had fallen, the world was covered in lights of various colors.
A night where the light did not disappear. Even though it was late, people still wandered the streets. On the roads, lumps of iron carrying people ran, and in the sky, something flew past. However, a look of fear could not be felt on the faces of the people walking the streets.
“Hmm.”
So this is Ian’s world. It is more sparkling, beautiful, and vibrant than imagined. Ian’s family must be somewhere here. It would have been good if I had heard where he lived. Ian hadn’t told him that much.
Then, how can I find Ian? Normally, he could find him, a Saint, if he used divine power.
“But there is a minor problem.”
Vermouth thought back to the Gate he had just come out of. Gates existed in their world as well. The Demon King’s Army supplied monsters through Gates, and because of that, the world had spiraled toward destruction. But something like that existed here as well.
Usually, if one uses divine power inside a dungeon, it cannot be detected from the outside. Would this world be the same?
‘But it is excessively peaceful here.’
Therefore, the occasions to use power from the outside would be extremely rare. He also wouldn’t know when Ian might use his power.
