The Villain’s Aide Has Run Away - Chapter 113.1
Silber flew into the sharpest tower window of Vancor’s royal palace. The Crown Prince, perched on the large window designed to allow Silber to enter and exit, turned his head.
Noticing Silber on the windowsill, he reached out his arm as if happy to see him. Silber landed on his arm.
“Where did you leave Leslun and come alone?”
[Caught.]
“Oh. By the Crown Prince?”
Even without Silber answering, he already knew the response. Perhaps he had even anticipated this outcome.
The Crown Prince let out a disappointed sigh. Though he wanted to intervene himself, he hesitated briefly. Instead, he wished for Leslun to come here of his own will.
The relationship with the Empire, his status as Crown Prince—upon reflection after sending Silber, all of it now felt like an excuse.
[Going to bring him.]
“Huh? Are you telling me to go back to the Empire?”
Silber spread his wings in response to the Crown Prince’s question.
[Flying.]
The Crown Prince smiled pleasantly at that.
“If I go see Leslun right now, I would be glad. But he will not let me have him yet. He barely escaped even now.”
The King of Vancor placed high expectations on the Crown Prince. The more the second prince, who refused the guardian spirit and wandered outside, was hidden from the public, the more the King’s obsession with the Crown Prince intensified.
Though frustrating, he had regarded it as his destiny.
He had believed he could meet those expectations flawlessly. Now, those expectations had reached their peak.
He was about to take the official first step with the kingdom’s new guardian spirit.
The trip to the Empire had been the final game and whim before that.
Having met Leslun there, he wondered if perhaps this was fate.
Yet Silber seemed to think differently.
[If I cannot rule as king, I will not choose.]
“That was a very dangerous statement just now.”
[The Empire is more dangerous.]
The Crown Prince’s expression turned serious.
“What is happening there?”
[Still unknown.]
But Silber must sense something.
If the Empire fell into chaos, it could affect Leslun and, on a larger scale, threaten the kingdom.
“It would be shameful to have someone chosen as a partner taken away without doing anything.”
Although recently returned to the kingdom, the Crown Prince’s face showed firm resolve.
“When we leave, it may be alone, but when we return, let’s return together.”
At his determination, Silber soared high into the sky.

The royal carriage, bearing the emblem of the royal family, welcomed the battered Leslun and Kailos. It also signified his status as Crown Prince.
Was this the carriage he had come in?
For travels along such early-morning paths, a separate stealth carriage was usually prepared to avoid unwanted attention.
Even seeing just the carriage made Leslun anxious.
Kailos ignored his reaction and seated him first before climbing in himself.
As soon as they were inside, the carriage began to move slowly. At the same time, a small lantern on the carriage wall flickered faintly.
The first thing Leslun noticed was the pile of blankets in one corner. Kailos took them one by one, cleaning Leslun thoroughly. Soon the blankets were stacked on the floor of the carriage.
Leslun let Kailos’s hands attend to him for a while. Slowly, his clothes began to come off layer by layer.
When Kailos’s hand touched the bare skin around his waist, Leslun reflexively grabbed his arm, and their eyes met.
As if taking that as a signal, Kailos pressed his lips to his. He swallowed even Leslun’s ragged breaths completely.
“Hhh…!”
The suppressed breath escaped from Leslun’s mouth.
“You’re wet.”
His voice carried some amusement. Simultaneously, his fingers explored Leslun’s chest.
The cold, erect nipples were easily caught. Kailos pinched and rolled them with two fingers as if handling unripe fruit on a young tree.
‘I almost lost you.’
The chilling sensation of almost losing him made Kailos more desperate.
He could never let him go. This was his.
Forever. He alone had to taste it.
It could not be shared with anyone.
This kind of possessiveness was a feeling he had never experienced.
Giving his heart would become a weakness in the position of Crown Prince. It was the emotion he had most guarded against.
He had never poured his heart out, nor had he desired that experience.
Now, he seemed to understand. This was not something achievable by will alone.
Eventually, he realized it, and much would now change.
