Then you would be able to see his prettier eyes more often. Of course, it was unlikely that Baek Seok-gyol would easily accept what Min-ha just blurted out. Wasn’t a hairstyle a part of one’s personal taste, after all? It was different from simply stocking the kitchen.
“I’ll cut it.”
However, the returning response was quick and breezy.
“Is it really okay?”
“It’s not like I was growing it on purpose.”
“Then shall I cut it for you?”

“Hehe, I have another nickname, you see. That is none other than the Barber of Gamheung-ri!”
Being a small village, Grandfather was the only person who owned a car. As a result, it wasn’t easy for the villagers to get their hair cut even when it grew long. Min-ha realized that this had been the beginning of the disaster.
Min-ha first cut the next-door grandmother’s hair. Having heard a thing or two, he placed a bowl on her head and cut it right to the edge, but it turned out to be a total mess.
“Th-hm. It’s not bad. Not bad at all.”
The kind grandmother had said that while comforting Min-ha, who was flopped over and crying because he felt sorry. After that, Min-ha plunged into serious training. However, how many subjects were there to practice on in a small village?
Min-ha’s hands ultimately turned toward the animals living in the yard.
“My word. It’s so elegant.”
Grandfather, who had come to visit and witnessed what Min-ha was doing, said that and laughed out loud. He had cut it thinking it would look pretty in its own way, but it seemed it didn’t look that way to others. Passing through such days, Min-ha grew.
“Oh, now that looks plausible?”
Before such words came out, there were countless sacrifices. Though the animals living in Min-ha’s yard didn’t seem to care particularly.
Unaware of that, Baek Seok-gyol nodded lazily.
“I’ll leave it to you.”
In the meantime, the porridge he had been boiling was finished.
“Oh, is it done?”
Before he knew it, Ma Jin-cheol and Sui, who had been sitting in one corner of the dining room, gathered their own bowls and spoons.
“What are you doing here?”
When Baek Seok-gyo asked, Ma Jin-cheol answered with a brazen face.
“We came to eat.”
For a moment, Baek Seok-gyol’s eyebrows twitched.
“Min-ha said it was fine to eat together.”
Only then did Baek Seok-gyol’s expression soften.
“I figured it would be fine since I’m making plenty anyway. Is it not allowed?”
At Min-ha’s cautious query, Baek Seok-gyol shook his head.
“Do as you like.”
Only then did Ma Jin-cheol and Sui let out sighs of relief.
“What a relief.”
“Truly a relief.”
Yet, come to think of it, the two who had braved Baek Seok-gyol’s danger to come this far were quite eccentric characters themselves.
‘Still, it’s been a long time since I’ve eaten a proper meal.’
Especially Ma Jin-cheol, who had tasted the food Min-ha made, desperately wanted to eat it. First of all, Baek Seok-gyol’s bowl was filled to the brim with beef and egg porridge. The side dishes were fresh kimchi and soy sauce.
Ma Jin-cheol and Sui tactfully scooped out their own portions.
“Thanks for the food!”
“Thanks!”
Thus began the villains’ meal.
Chae Ji-won, a villain who had returned from a mission, headed to the dining room clutching his empty stomach. Beside him were another colleague and a guide who had joined him for this job. The guide’s name was Park Jung-woo. It wasn’t as though Zero had no guides at all. It was just that there was no guide matching Baek Seok-gyol, but there were guides to cover other villains. Like Park Jung-woo.
“Ugh.”
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, hyung. Are you okay? This time, that idiot used too much power and almost went berserk.”
At those words, Park Jung-woo slurred his speech and laughed.
“Hyung, you’re just too kind-hearted.”
Kind-hearted? He didn’t know. Park Jung-woo had been trapped by another villain organization before being rescued with Zero’s help. They hadn’t seized the guide they had set free. They were told to go wherever they wanted, but two guides hadn’t left and remained. One was Park Jung-woo, and the other was Ryu Ji-yeon, who stayed cooped up in the hideout playing games all day.
They had been told they would receive better treatment if they went to the Management Bureau, but they didn’t care. Because they knew Zero wasn’t simply a group of evil people. They wanted to help those who had rescued them from their years of suffering.
“Me, kind?”
“No, you are. Look at Ryu Ji-yeon. She glares with scary eyes the moment anyone asks her for guiding. She’s so obsessed with games.”
Saying that, Chae Ji-won clicked his tongue.
