Now Baek Seok-gyol’s abilities had subsided to a certain extent. They said that once the wavelength became mild, the possibility of going berserk dropped infinitely. Now it was time to fatten Baek Seok-gyol up.

Min-ha raised his sluggish body. Because the warmth left his body, it was a bit chilly.

“Ugh.”

Shivering all over, he got up and put on his clothes. Then he took out a new top and handed it to Baek Seok-gyol. He usually bought several clothes of the same shape and wore them in rotation. Therefore, the new clothes were no different from the previous ones.

He thought he would look cool even if he wore different clothes. Thinking that, Min-ha headed to the dining room with Baek Seok-gyol. The space that had been a mess earlier in the day from making oisobagi was neatly cleaned up. And around the dining table returned to its original position, a few people were sitting and eating.

“Min-ha!”

Sui raised her hand first.

“Welcome. The curry is really delicious.”

Ma Jin-cheol said that while pointing to his empty plate. In the center, several side dishes made earlier in the day, cucumber kimchi, and diced radish kimchi were placed.

‘It would taste better if it sat for a few days.’

Still, everyone looked excited, so it was fine. As Min-ha thought that and looked around, he saw a face he was seeing for the first time.

“This is Ryu Ji-hye. She’s a guide like me.”

The young girl holding a game console in her hand gave Min-ha a polite bow. Then she started eating again while staring down at the game console. Actually, rather than a meal, it was in the form of Park Jung-woo supplying food to her.

“Next is that.”

Every time Ryu Ji-hye pointed, Park Jung-woo diligently carried the food over. Min-ha first sat Baek Seok-gyol down in a chair and piled the warmed curry generously on top of the rice. Then, after preparing his own as well, he placed it on the dining table. As soon as Min-ha’s hand was free, Baek Seok-gyol grabbed his hand again like a ghost. Even so, it didn’t interfere with his meal, so Min-ha left him be.

“By the way, when are the other oppa and unni coming back?”

Ryu Ji-hye asked as if she had suddenly remembered while chewing her food diligently. Baek Seok-gyol had said there were 8 survivors. With four of them here now, that meant the remaining four were vacant. Strictly speaking, the number of personnel currently out in the field was 3, though. The remaining one had disappeared with the curry, saying they would eat in their own room.

“No matter how fast they are, won’t it take more than a week?”

“Hmm, I see.”

Min-ha was also curious about what kind of people the remaining ones were. Even while eating, Baek Seok-gyol’s hand did not leave Min-ha. Although his movements were clumsy because he wasn’t using his usual hand, he didn’t seem to have any intention of letting go.

In the end, Min-ha ended up doing something similar to Park Jung-woo. Just like he did for Ryu Ji-hye, he fed Baek Seok-gyol and wiped the corners of his mouth.

“Cough!”

Seeing that sight, Ryu Ji-hye made a startled expression, but the rest of them turned their gazes away as if they were used to it.

“Is the world about to end?”

Amidst that subtle atmosphere, only Ryu Ji-yeon’s voice echoed faintly.

❖ ❖ ❖

“Ah, it’s finally over!”

A woman wearing a tight rider outfit that clung to her body raised both arms and cheered. Her name was Seong Mi-na, another member of ZERO. She was a physical enhancement user who could harden her body or bash opponents with that hardened physique.

“True. It was long.”

A young man standing beside her, Ryu Seo-ho, shook his head. He was also a physical enhancement user like Seong Mi-na, but their styles differed. He could move faster than anyone else.

“It’s exhausting.”

Lastly, Seorang, the youngest of ZERO. Even though he was the youngest, he was 2 years older than Ryu Ji-yeon because he was the youngest among the espers.

Seorang asked.

“We can go back now, right?”

“We can, but before that, the vice-leader has a favor to ask.”

At Ryu Seo-ho’s words, Seong Mi-na clung closely to his side and peeked at his phone.
